Have this been sold on Ebay? Since this is Ebay insanity.
Btw, i dont see any extra leaf on the pictures. All i see is that it looks like theres a small bug on the corn, on the picture in the middle.

we had a similar thing in the UK a while back with "Elizabeth Fry £5 Notes" the serial number could be rubbed off, these notes were going for £20 a peice on ebay, not too many people knew, but by the time I had collected 20 of them, they were back downt to £5 each... :(

That's really weird, I'll have to take a look at some of the quarters I have lying around (especially being in Tucson and all). I'm not really seeing the difference either though.

I totally don't see any differances in any of those photos. Is there a site with better photos, possibly arrows pointing to the differances?

Did you click on the auciton I posted , an hour before you did?????
It's subtle , I seem to have been looking high on the husk, when the error is low in the photo field

Yep, thats a good pic :) Also the pics on the Ebay auction posted here shows it pretty good too.
Amazing tho, paying $1000 for 25 cents just for a small printing error, but thats rarity for you :D

This is truely disturbing! The fact that some people in this country don't have money to eat or a place to live, and others have over $1,000 to spend on a FREAKING QUARTER!!! O_O

i find it funny that there are three variations of the coin... like they planed it
the coin collecting market has been on the decline for the last $10 years. i think they did it to spark interest once again.. just my 2 cents :king:

Dude, people have different hobbys, and you spend money on your hobbys. These people work for that $1,000, let them spend it on what they want.

I collect coins myself, though I don't spend more then a couple hundred a year on it.
Having said that, I had heard about that error....it could be worth a lot of money.
I guess none of you know how much a real 1804 Silver Dollar goes for. :D

Yeah, my dad just told me about this yesterday. We already got two of em, and when i got to work tommorow, i bet i can probably get a few more before the days over.
I'm suprised they're going for 300-600 a piece, but all it means is a way for me to make some quick cash. :D

I'd be lying if I didn't admit to already searching my pockets, my poker coin jar, and the ashtrays in both cars for Wisconsin quarters.
Nuthin'.

that is insane! man i have never spent that much on ANYTHING('cept my compy), let alone a quarter!!!
i think spending 1 grand on a game system OR a coin is insane, but a game system is a little less insane. i mean c'mon. a peice of electronics versus a little peice of metal. think about that.

Actaully I'd argue the other way.
Coin will most likely keep it's value longer OR would be more likely to increase AND would be easier to sell.
