My Joycard Sansui is acting up. The function of the gamepad is normal, however when I plug in my headphones, the sound is terribly quiet. It used to be of a normal volume, but even with the volume turned all the way up, its nearly inaudible.

To answer the obvious--yes, I know there's a volume slide. I already opened it up, and cleaned the contacts for that part, made sure everything was good there... still nothing. I'm guessing its a simple matter of replacing a bad part--but what that part may be, I'm not sure.

So I need some ideas, and I'll be borrowing a friend's multimeter this weekend to try and see if its a component on the board. I have a hunch that there's simply not enough power getting to the sound output, but I'm not sure.

I just want to get this thing working again! :( <--Misses "stereo" NES goodness.

I just bought one off of eBay and the volume is real low too. From what I could hear, the volume shift feature was really cool though. Did you ever find a solution to your problem?
