I heard that there is a way to switch back and forth by holding buttons when starting the system, but I can't find out if it's necessarily true or not. I want to purchase Doshin the Giant (PAL) and play it.

Is it possible?

Also, is Doshin worth importing?

I think you might mean puttin the games into 60hz....

On a PAL game, while its loading up after the GC Bios screen, hold B and (On most games) it brings up the option of 60hz...

A freeloader will be needed and Euro region will needed to be selected on the screen brought up with the Z Button

Any version of Freeloader/AR post 1.06 has no region selection anymore. It is purely autodetect. Unless the game you are running in the US supports 60Hz (though quite a few PAL games do) you'll need a display capable of handling 50Hz. And in the US I doubt that is going to be very common.

So, I'm pretty much out of luck playing Doshin the Giant (PAL) unless I get a PAL TV, at least... right?

No, no. This "Freeloader" disk, which can be purchased directly from www.codejunkies.com , will play Doshin perfectly on an NTSC TV. I know this from personal experience.

Yeah, the freeloader is great, and only DOES NOT work with a very small amount of games - and at that the games are still playable, but menus and stuff might be messed up, take F-Zero GX for example, you can play it on your cube if you imported it from another region, but the menus get messed up. Still playable. Great tool for all cube owners.

I agree just get free loader, or if you're feeling lucky get a Viper.
