My sister recently bought a Gamecube. She wants to buy a memory card and an extra controller, but the official memorycard and controllers are damn expencive here.
I've browsed Ebay and I see cheap 3rd party controllers and huge memorycards up to 128mb.

Anyone have some experience with this? Are they good enough? Do they break easliy? I dont expect the controllers to be as the same quality as the official from Nintendo of course. And what about the memory card?
Please help me :)

Where exactly is "here" that you speak of?

A normal 59 block memory card is cheap to come by these days ($5 at most)

Controllers vary, but I'd stick with nintendo brand, Im sure somewhere here on DP can help you with your problem.

Never buy parts from Ebay, too expensive and shipping cost are ugly

i stay far away from 3rd party memory cards i have had nothing but trouble with them. as for controllers 3rd party brands should would ok but IMO they never seem to feel right and i would just look for a use one or wait for a sale.

An official Nintendo Gamecube 8mb memory card costs about $62.00
An official Nintendo Gamecube controller costs about $55.00

On ebay you can get a 128mb memorycard which got 16x more space for about $5 - $10.
So even with shipping she would save alot of money.
I need to know what is good and what is bad of the 3rd party accesories :)
