A complete copy of Castlevania 1 for Famicom. I guarantee it'll sell for this much, too, if a collector spots this.

Wow .. he sells stuff other than endless new copies of Golden Axe 3 and Treasure Land Adventure?
Perhaps his stocks of these are running low and he's having to diversify!

realy sweet, but $299? Sounds alittle too high for me, but I dont know how rare this is :) Is the famicom release of castlevania rare itself?

In cartridge form, oh yeah. It's one of like 4-5 games re-issued to cartidge form in '93 or so in Japan. Now, if this was a complete FDS copy of Castlevania, I'd be laughing my ass off at that price.

So the original release of Castlevania in 1986 in Japan was for the FDS system only? The re-release in 1993 was the first time it was released in a cart? I assumed Konami would have ported the game to the Super Famicom.

Yeah, my gut instinct tells me this is a little high, but hey, what do I know? I mean, if you can't get to Japan, this may be your best chance to get it. I bet it goes for a good bit cheaper inside Nihon though.

It is tempting, but I think it would be best to wait. Someone will have one on one day for like $40 - $100.

I guess it didn't sell the first time for 299.99 'cause it has been relisted at 249.99. Maybe if no one continues to bid the price will continue to drop down in price to a more reasonable starting bid. Like maybe 49.99. LOL

Yeah, SB, that's right.
Pretty common on Yahoo Japan, but pretty damn hard to get on US Ebay! Nice score!

Well i don't why i should have this in my collection, i have the normal NES version and that' s ok for me.
$299,- for a common game,it's almost like selaed games,but then i'd rather buy a sealed one instead of a fami game.
