So, with my PSP preorder, I get to get 3 games. I have already decided that I must get Lumines, and that if Mercury is released on the launch, that I must get it as well (I originally was only getting a PSP for Mercury!). So, I'm looking at other games, and now I hove to pick one of these 3: Spiderman 2, Metal Gear ACID, and Untold Legends. I have seen some short videos of Spiderman 2, and they look pretty impressive, but none of them made this point clear: Is Spiderman 2 PSP built like the console verions, i.e. with a freeroaming NYC?

From the screenshots I seen, it wasn't like the console versions.

It was just like the DS version. Sort of like side-scrolling.

The site I was at might have put DS screenshots with the PSP version though.

Side scroller. Don't be brainwashed by the screenshots, everything Activision has seemed to release has tried to trick gamers into believing it's a free roaming game, but alas it isn't, it is nearly identical to that on the DS with beefed up graphics. Blech.

Oh and Querjek you should get Twisted Metal Head On, looks like it could be an amazing game. Especially with the newly announced online options for launch. ;)

From what I hear they're attempting to sort of recreate the experience Twisted Metal 2 provided, although it's looking a little half-assed at the moment. Should it pull through and attain that lofty goal (2 and Black are the best in the series) AND with online play, Jesus Jones, I might have to sell a kidney for a PSP.

Out of the three you listed there, I would go for Metal Gear. Unless the game is unlike the PSX and PS2 games, you know it will be a solid title.

As far as I know the MG for PSP is a turned based strategy game with cards.

Yeah, from what I've seen it's WAY different from the console games. I'm not so hot on what I've seen so far. Time will tell!

Weekly Famitsu gave it a 34, which has got to account for something. I wouldn't fall asleep just yet ...

There's a trailer up on IGN now. It looks like it just has side scrolling parts. I can't tell how "free roaming" it is though.
