I just got an atari 2600 thanks to bigdaddychester, but games like Warlords dont seem to work with either the joy stick or the paddle. And some games only work with the stick instead of the paddle. So do certain games only work with certain controllers? also why cant i get warlords to work?

Yeah. Certain games nly work with certain controllers. It should say which on the label of the cart. Warlords is a paddle game. If it won't work at all, then the paddles might be fried. Plug in the paddles, turn the shit on, hit the reset switch, push the button on the paddle, and then turn the knob. If the thingy in the upper left hand corner of the screen doent start moving, then youve got problems.

Yeah that's always been my problem with most atari games, too. I don't know anyone around here who actually wants to play atari with me. But the minute I get Resident Evil 4, they're lining up to play. Fuckers.

I love games like warlords, they are really a blast, but alot of my friends cant stand anything older than PS1....

Maybe if you buy "Atari Anthology" for Xbox or PS2 you can fool them into playing it . . . ;)

Of course, anybody who doesn't like Warlords is a doodyhead.
