Has anyone played this game? I´m thinking on getting it, as it seems like a bigger version of River City Ransom, my favourite game.

That's exactly what it is. It's awesome. I played all the way through it, something I have yet to do with RCR.

It´s a japanese only release, a sort of a sequel to River City Ransom.

The good things are the amount of new techniques it has and the possibility of get new allies, but you can´t power-up buying food like you could on the original game, and having 4 enemies always causes a lot of slowdown.

I´ve tried it on emu, and is a lot more confusing than RCR. All the areas are connected in a strange way, and I´m not sure to where to go or what to do.

Can you explain me how to play? (yes, it sounds like I´ve never played a game on my life LOL )

From what I remember (3 or 4 years ago) when you pause the game, the B button brings up a map that shows you where the current bad guys are. Go there, kick their asses, rinse, repeat.

Least I think it was the B button.

Yes, but it´s a very imprecise map. It has a strange shape, and when you go to the next area you appear farther than you think O_O Also, what means all those guys with "?" on their faces? Do you have to go looking for them to defeat them and find the boss? I´ve found info about techs and so, but not about what to do and how to play.

Yup. And I agree with you about the map, it takes a while to learn exactly how to get from place to place.

Wich one would you choose: Downtown Special or Kakutou Densetsu (Riki-Kunio)? I don´t know what to do. Riki-Kunio is a blast, but it seems that it can get old pretty quickly.

I looove Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu. If I bought a converted NES cart that'd be the first one I'd buy. It's practically the reason I've been wanting a Famicom to NES converter for years. But, if you think RCR is the best game ever, you're probably better off with Downtown Special.

You can buy the games without having to buy a converter. Here, at www.nesreproductions.com a guy sells reproductions of carts never released, like Downtown Special or Earthbound, and you can play them on English!

That´s why I was asking to choose one of them :) BTW, I´ve been playing a bit more of Downtown Special. I´ve cured Bunzo (¿?) but I don´t know what to do now. The game ends when you defeat every gang and boss?
