I have never owned either of the previous wario ware games, eventhough I have played the gamecube version, I can tell you now that if you liked the originals you will dig Touched.
When I first turned the game on there is a slighy parody about the GBA and GBA SP , which was pretty cool, right then I knew this was gonna be one weird game.
Going through the games story mode (the only real choice you really have in the start of the game) it is narrated in mostly still scenes which tell silly stories that make so sense, but the game itself makes no sense, and thats a good thing! the mini-games themselves are often to far fetched and random it makes you laugh. Want to un-roll toilet paper? move a baby attached to a string and put out a fire while he is peeing? how about looking like an idiot blowing into your DS and blowing up a balloon? yeah you can do that too.
This game makes the best use of the DS' touch screen by far. Every game requires you to interact, or even blow into your DS, so those of you only wanting DS games that make use of the 2 screens this game is for you. But the top screen is often not used in games at all, or simply un-needed sadly.
I beat the story mode is 1 - 1 1/2 hours...sad but true.... but whats not sad is that there are tons of mini "games" if you want to call some of them that you can unlock by playing the story levels over. These extra games are randomly given, and so far most of them are extremely fun. I put games in quotes becuase most of them are simple interative sessions that make use of the touch screen very well, such as a cool looking picto-chat type thing where you....well...ill let you find that out :)
There are also a ton of old school nintendo mini games, all the way from mario to metroid and links adventure. There are all fun, and one of the highest standouts in the game.
But upon playing it I found it very easy...until I found out you can replay any of the mini games, and they proggressivly get harder and harder, and same for the story mode, the levels are extended, and the mini games often have new features to them to add to the depth.
is it over quick? yes sorta, but if you like the added challenge of replaying the games and unlocking more mini games over time you will find this to be one solid game. I have long been awaiting a DS game worthy of purchasing, and I highly reccomend Wario Ware!
