Activision is ready for the launch of the Xbox Next this fall, according to CEO Ron Doornink, who said that it "will be our goal to put out enough titles so we have a significant, meaningful presence at launch."
With more and more developers talking of a fall to winter launch for the Xbox Next, Microsoft's seems destined to launch its next-gen console this year.
Im ALMOST convinced that Microsoft is determined to get the Xbox next out either this fall or early winter '05 :hmm:
I think it is fairly certain that Xbox 360 will be out this christmas season, based on comments by Ballmer and other credible information.
That would be pretty weird... I don't think that they've sucked all of the life out of the xbox yet. I mean, they're still $150, still making tons of good selling games, and people love xbox live. I'd think that they'd wait until the xbox starts becoming obsolete or at least less popular, but I guess maybe they want to beat everyone else to the new console generation (and maybe go the way of the dreamcast :/ )

They may have decided that they've taken the Xbox business model as far as it wiill go without the disadvantages outweighing the benefits. Maybe they plan on making a profit with the Xbox 2.
Does anyone know if it will be backwards compatiible for certain?
If thats the case I guess my Xbox colection wont be growing any. :roll:
Damn Xbox. Id rather devlopers would tap into the power, or hell give me some good games for the box.

And here I thought the games for Xbox were just getting good. They surely could squeeze more outta the Xbox, maybe another year, before launching Next. I'm definitely hoping it'll be backwards compatable...

I pretty sure it's coming out next christmas maybe a little earlier. The owner of my local video store, has basically been confirmed that it's coming out at the end of this year, as she is ordering one.
