It's one of the Twin Bee games.

That's "Pop N' Twinbee" for Super Famicom. And yes, the color scheme on that game is off the hook.

Ah, one of my favorite Super Famicom imports, and probably my favorite shooter. :) The TwinBee series is great, and Pop'n TwinBee is often considered the best in the series.

Not a very good price for it, though. I think my copy was less and it was complete and shipped from Japan.

Twinbee Rainbow Bell Adventure comes in second on the SFC. it's not a shooter, but the gameplay is basically Sonic the Hedgehog and Rocket Knight Adventures combined.

and don't forget both were released in Europe and are easier to get from there!

If memory serves, Rainbow Bell Adventure was really dumbed down for the PAL release. Of course, that game has a bit more text than any of the shooters do, so that's one benefit of the PAL version.

From an American standpoint, I think people are much better off importing the Japanese versions than the PAL versions. Easier to find, much easier to play after a simple modification to a US SNES, nicer packaging, and much cheaper I'm guessing.

Nice to see those screen shots...that was one of only 2 Super Famicom games I ever owned, both long gone on eBay.

Any reason why he didn't post a pic of the cartridge?

What i'm wondering is why is he trying to sell two copies of Super Genjin 2 (Bonk 2) at different prices?

Yeah, if you're going to get Rainbow Bell Adventure, look for the JP version. They changed around the levels to make them more linear since they took out the actual world map in the PAL version. There are a couple other differences, which I forget exactly. If you're still unsure, just run copies of each on an emulator and you'll see the difference.

As for Pop'n Twinbee, it's definitely worth snagging. One of the greatest shooters of all time, as far as I'm concerned. It also has 8 difficulty levels, so it's great for any level of skill to play, and it gives good replay. Kinda short though, only six or seven levels if I remember correctly.

The stages are extremely long, though. I find I usually get exhausted of playing before I reach the end.

And the difficulties should range from "hard" to "are you out of your fucking mind?!" :P Maybe it's just me since I'm not an especially experienced shmup player nor am I that great at them, but I find the game REALLY difficult. I think I've only beaten it on the level 1 difficulty so far. O_o

I loved Pop'n Twinbee on super famicom, how is it on the Saturn twinbee deluxe pack? Is the sfc version better, the same, etc?
