We know what the rarity guides say, but do you agree or disagree? Let's limit this to US legit Nintendo releases only (i.e. no Sachen, Tegen, Wisdom Tree, etc) because I have a feeling that those releases might dominate the list.

Stadium Events
Stack Up (if its complete)
Flintstones 2
Bonks Adventure
Little Samson
Princess Tomato
Pro Sport Hockey
Fire N Ice
Pesterminator
Wayne's World

Those are the ones that I see the least of the licensed games. Bubble Bobble 2 is supposed to be rare but I see that one alot so I don't know.

Maybe Princess Tomato is just regional, because I see it all the time here in Las Vegas. I wouldn't consider that one very rare at all.

Your list seems pretty good, but I'd replace Princess Tomato with Panic Restaurant.

Oh, and Pesterminator doesn't count (there are much rarer Color Dreams games anyway), so I'd replace that with Bubble Bobble 2.

Doh, I actually meant to put Panic Restaurant instead of Pesterminator.

That is interesting about Princess Tomato though. I have never seen that game in the wild for any price.

I never saw any of those games in the wild. I rarely see anything but commons with an occasional r4-5 in the mix.

arent the panesian games rare? or not AS rare as the ones on the list?

GenesisNES: This is licensced games only. But the Panesians certainly are up there in rarity, no doubt.

This is a pretty accurate list, I'd say. Princess Tomato IS a hard-to-find game, but I think its nowhere NEAR as rare as say, Flintstones 2. I've never come across Fire N Ice at any price!! I can see why Wayne's World is so hard to find--it is purely AWFUL!!! :puke: Well, so is Princess Tomato, but at least its playable.

I dont want to make a topic for this but could someone tell me if the sachen gameboy 4in1 cartridges are considered rare? I happened to get a pocket gameboy with quest for camelot and that one (ant soldier, skyrace, dan laser and zoo block). I would appreciate any info on that since I couldnt find anything on google.

I agree with most of this list:
Stadium Events
Stack Up (if its complete)
Flintstones 2
Bonks Adventure
Little Samson
Princess Tomato
Pro Sport Hockey
Fire N Ice
Panic Restaurant
Wayne's World

Of those I have yet to see a Stadium Events running around looking for a home. But I have found a mint complete Fire 'n Ice (great game) and a mint complete Stack Up (with the original receipt from Nintendo). Other items that are a pain to find is the compete Miracle Piano setup, Bubble Bobble II- was a hard to find complete, Rainbow Islands- I have seen a couple times, and Mermaids of Atlantus- though we're not counting that.

The only other games that I might wonder about are the old NES carts with the Famicom adaptor built in but that is getting a bit nit picky I suppose ~_^

Princess Tomato

Its funny that you should that. It was in fact the companies best selling NES title. While I have only seen a few in the wild it is ALWAYS on ebay at least one copy every week.

It Little Samson really that rare? I have a complete copy... I've had it for a long time too. Guess I lucked out.

I have a few Famicom carts that are pretty rare including a couple pirate carts made in Turkey.

I always had a hard time finding a complete copy of Chubby Cherub.

Thanks

I don't want to ruin the thread or anything, but I recently got a copy of Pro Sport Hockey Complete for eight bucks and some change off E-bay. Now I know that E-bay prices rarely reflect rarity, more like popularity.

I just had a few honorable mentions: Super Cars, and Power Blade 2

If we are talking complete games then the list would definitely need some revision. Complete copies of a few of the black box games like DK Jr Math and Clu Clu Land are quite hard to come by as well as many others like Chuby Cherub.

Like neschampion said, loose vs complete is a different story.

And Spoon, Pro Sport Hockey complete IS tough to find, but there's little demand for it. Same with Wayne's World and Race America.

Well, if you come to Argentina, you´ll find a lot of strange famicom carts and lot of N.E.S. clones, it´s amazing!!!, i´m working on a site about all argentinian clones now

PD: Wrecking crew is rare??

There is a complete Stack Up and a few Wayne's World carts on
E-bay, in case anyone needs/wants a copy.

I think that Cowboy Kid by Romstar is one of the hardest to find - I've been collecting for over 7 years and have NEVER seen one in person. I went to a store 2 days ago and found a Panic Restaurant ($2.99), Bonk's Adventure ($4.99), and Princess Tomato ($9.99).

I have also never seen a stadium events nor a fire n ice in person either. I think that you have a solid list going, but there are a few titles that aren't that bad.

I agree with the list, but there is one game that really belongs on there, and that game is Ms. Pac Man by Namco, not the black one by Tengen, I also give an honorable mention to Treasure Master

Stadium Events
*Stack Up
Flintstones 2
Bonks Adventure
Little Samson
*Pro Sport Hockey
Fire N Ice
Wayne's World
Panic Resturant
Bubble Bobble 2
Race America
*Super Cars
*Power Blade 2
*Chubby Cherub
Cowboy Kid
Namco Ms Pacman
Treasure Master

From this discussion, these are the rarest licensed games. I've starred ones that are on here only if they are complete. Any one want to disagree with any choices? ;)
