A local game store has a boxed/sealed copy for $9.39. The guide has it listed as a R7 for $30. Would you get it just for collectors value?

Do you really need to ask. If a game is that rare, and you find it cheap AND sealed, then grab it.

Not to jinx it, but I'm betting it'll be gone.
Prove me wrong. :D
Actually, I've always found the Wisdon Tree games to be quite fun.. for the most part. That Baby Moses game was a PIA though. But I did love Noah's Ark at the time. And Spiritual Warfare actually gives me more pleasure than the original Zelda. (Seriously.)

It looks like they might have resealed it... but I dunno... I bet it WILL be gone just because... I passed on a SNES w/ 2 controllers and 6 sports games @ Goodwill for $20... I now regret it even though I already have a SNES as this one was not discolored :|

if i were you i would have went right after you found out about it here or the rarity guide. it's probably gone by now.
how did the seal look? generally, i think genesis games were sealed with the tab inside and a seam along the part where the box would open.

I think the copy of Socket I opened a couple days ago was like that, but I just checked my NBA Showdown '94 (sealed as I have no reason to open it right now) and it's got Nintendo seams -- top and bottom not quite to the edges, and a vertical one down the back. But that's considering that they're licensed games packaged in the hard cases. Joshua is an unlicensed game, and comes in a cardboard box, so it's probably got whatever seal was cheapest to get. Which is probably around the edges of the box.

They open in a little bit, so im headed there. Even if they sealed it themselves I think its worth it. I'll have 2 R7-R8 games :D

Yeah, at $10 it seriously doesn't matter whether it's a reseal or not...
I mean, DP says $35 for a LOOSE copy, and that's the average. I'd say a complete is probably worth fifty easy on eBay....there are some rabid Wisdom Tree collectors out there (I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to be one).

I got it 8-) 8-) :D :D but it looks to be a reseal as I found the stores label was UNDER the wrapping.. Oh well, it was still a good deal. They also had a ton of the NES Wisdom Tree games for $9.39 each (LOOSE). Are any of them really fun?

Do you consider throwing baby Moses into a river fun? If so, yes, very much so.

none of the wisdom tree games are that great. spiritual warfare is fairly good.

I like Joshua and Exodus. They're very similar and pretty fun.
Spiritual Warfare is my favorite because they put the most story and detail into it. It's a big map and can take a while to beat. But the "Save" system sucks and never works when you want to load your game back up. So it's best to play on an Emulator with Freeze functions.
The Bible Stories one with the three games, Noah's Ark, David and Goliath and Baby Moses is marginally fun. Noah is a great "Find two of each animal" collecting game. Later on it gets really hard when it gets dark and some of the animals get restless. David and Goliath is also cool in that you collect sheep first, then go on to fight Goliath. But Moses is the hardest. It truly is more fun to throw him in the water.
Never played the rest except for a ROM of the 3D Noah. That was um.. fun? No, that's not the word.. SAD. That's the word. It was sad. So so sad. Never touched Sunday Funday.
