It was mentioned in another thread that the German re-release of Mario Bros. had some changes. Did Mario have the improved control like in Kaettekita Mario Bros.? Were there any changes to the other games?

I looked for roms but I couldn't find any separate ones for these versions.

Mario moves less slippery as in the original Famicom/US release and his jumps control better. The graphics are updated a bit, the crabs and turtles are larger and more defined, from what little I just played right now the level arangements may be different too. The German Classics release also has the inclusion of cutscenes.. 24k vs 16k original rom, there's bound to be some improvements.
GoodNES rom name would be Mario Bros. Classic (E) [!].zip

Yes it is different. The cut scenes are more of an explanation how to play the game though. The game is also dumped, not too long ago.

I'm quite surprised that you haven't heard of it, because in Europe it was only released in Germany as far as I know.
