Kemco has brought over the latest in the long running Dai Senryaku series and is publishing it as a budget title $19.99

I just wanted to see if anyone else is interested in this series or if they have played it. It was released yesterday, I haven't found a copy yet.

Dai Senryaku VII is the second game in the Daisenryaku series to be released in the states. The first Daisenryaku game to make it over to the states was called "Iron Storm" and it was released on the Saturn by Working Designs. The Daisenryaku series has traditionally been World War II based however a few games in the series, including this one, have stepped out of the series'
historical shoes. This one is set in modern times and features the following countries.

US, UK, Germany, Israel, Japan, Russia, France and China.

I picked it up at EB yesterday but haven't gotten a chance to try it yet. EB only got 2 copies in, and they weren't planning on getting any more. Xbox rarity collectors should check this one out. It's got a cool cover too, I like it.

I have never heard of this series, but as soon as I saw a hex based game for the Xbox, I was all over it. As soon as I see a copy, I'm buying it.

Thanks for the post! I would have otherwise missed this game. I had to go to 3 EBs to find one in stock. My advice if you are a fan of the series or into strategy games or collect rare XBOX games, pick this up now.

As to the game itself, I am going to give it a try tonight. Was this released on the XBOX in Japan, or on another console like the PS2, cuz the graphics on the back of the case don't look outstanding or anything. It looks like it was made for the DC. Being a hardcore strategy game enthusiast, I am used to subpar graphics in hex games, especially for the PC.

I can't find this anywhere! No store in my area has it in stock... I still haven't tried TRU though. Heres for that!

There were 2 titles released for DC prior to the Xbox version which was
released in 2003. However there is one PS2 title in the series sub-titled 1941 with another entitiled VII Exceed on the way this year for PS2 most likely Japan only titles.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense LOL but there is a timeline of all the games in the series in my first post.

Yeah, I had the same problem. I finally just ordered it online from Gamestop.

Actually try this seller on eBay, get it while you can

still 4 copies left

2 left

I know shipping is high but it's $22.49 after shipping, it's about the same as going to buy one at retail, plus I don't like the fact that EB and GS have last copy opened and sell as new, WTF? Once they open it, I know some get scratched.

I got mine yesterday and played for about an hour.

The graphics are not the greatest but the depth and the gameplay are there. The game also features a great map editor and supports 4 players, sadly there is no live support though. Overall it is a enjoyable game for the money.

Aren't you missing one for the Saturn? I know there's 4 different ones for the Saturn, because I've seen them all. So you're missing one in your list.

Aargh. I missed this one when it came out in February. Now neither ebgames.com nor gamestop.com have it listed on their websites. Froogle led me to a few websites that still have it in stock, but man! This thing sank out of sight pretty fast.

Try Shopko. Every one I've been to in the last few months has this game in their bargin bin. $19.99 if I recall.

I've had the game since release week and love it. It's got the same sort of "just one more turn" addicting gameplay that always kept me playing until three or four in the morning. Hex strategy games have always been a love of mine, and the depth and number of units here is amazing. So Iron Storm is from the same series? Has anyone played both that and this? If it's as good as DS7, I'll have to seek it out and grab it.

I don't think people have been picking it up here. Next time I'm in EBGames I'll see if they have any copies and pass them on off to people on the forum. (I swear they had both a new and used copy last time I was there.)
