I know I'll not be the first to say this:

That looks like it could be better than Double Dash was.

Whoa! That's so cool. [Adds to list of arcade games I must have before I die. Wonders if they can be played as a single cabinet to save space in the house.]

man,I'm about to mail Nintendo my idea of releasing a port of this game(it uses the "Super Mario Sunshine"-engine btw) for gamecube which comes with a second disc including:
A playable demo of "Mario Kart DD!!"
the SNES "Super Mario Kart" (possible with enabled 4 player mode)
and the N64 "MArio Kart 64"

Like they did with limited "Zelda-Wind Waker (Pal version)"

Anyone with me?

The screenshots denote that it's a location test version, so I assume this isn't out yet. It looks pretty hot though. I can't tell from the pictures if it's got player cards like F-Zero...

While Snake hasn't gone karting yet, Cyborg Ninja is a playable character in Konami Krazy Racers.

I really hope that Nintendo and Namco port this to the Gamecube. It shouldn't be too hard, considering that the Triforce hardware is Gamecube-based.

EDIT: Oh yeah, this reminds me, Namco and Nintendo seem to be doing more and more joint projects. Hmm...

I dunno if Nintendo will release this on the cube. I mean, two Kart titles in three years would probably be a bit much.

If anything, they might end up releasing an enhanced port on the Revolution.

Of course, knowing Nintendo, they'll prove me wrong and release it on the Cube anyway. LOL

First - that looks fucking awesome. DD was decent, but not really a "Kart" game, it was more of a "buggy" game.

Second - the fact that it apparently uses a camera to take a picture of the actual driver (person playing the game) and morph their face with the character that they have chosen - is awesome! I'd have a lot of fun making funny face when they take that shot, or even better - digressing about 10 years here - putting my butt up when those shots are taken LOL

Gamecube Port would be most appreciated.

How recent is this thing?

It was either announced yesterday or today. I'd say it's pretty recent LOL

Thats what I'd like to see. Nintendo really needs to start off the next gen with a bang (a couple franchise titles) unlike they did with the Gamecube.

BTW...This game looks awesome :D

Off-Topic: Whatever happened to Star Fox for Triforce?

I have a feeling that this will be one of Nintendo's GC surprises at E3. DD didn't do as well as they had hoped, so they may be doing a little "revisionism" ala the new GC Zelda.

It would still be sweet to own a single cabinet, but you can't beat multiplayer with an actual other racing, hense you would need two cabinets for that. Pretty pricey though I would amagine, I'm guessing around $3000 per unit??

NeoVenom

$3000 is rather cheap for an arcade price. If my parents hit the lotto, I'll buy myself 2. LOL

That is truely INSANE! Think in only a little over 10 years we have gone from Super Mario Kart to this.

Looks awesome, I hope they bring it over to NA like F-zero. A revoultion port would be perfect (at launch as well).

Haha! This games looks awesome. It's pretty cool of how people put their display pictures as icons. I wonder where these arcades are located? I'll insolently try it out when I see it. Very motivating.

Yeah, does anybody know if they are bringing it here to the US, or just overseas?

I think Nintendo DEFINATELY needs to have a MK at launch of the revolution, if it's a port of that game, or a brand new game itself. Either way, I would be in heaven!
