:hmm:

You know you're addicted to EverQuest when you can't even interrupt your EQII session for five minutes to call for pizza...

If you can't be bothered to even call the pizza place, how would you pay the delivery man? Would you just leave a note on the front door that says, "Put the pizza in the mail slot. Check's in the mailbox."?

I know! I was thinking about that too... even if you're too lazy to pick up the phone, you'll still need to stop the session for a second to get up, go to the door (and ring the delivery guy inside the building if it's an apartment), pay the guy and come back to sit down (and then get up again to pick up a knife and some napkins...).

You know there are people that are gonna see this announcement and consider a big thing, something they will get a lot of use out of.

....and those are the type of people I hope I never meet.

ROFL

No really, I know when I'm hungry, that I just drop whatever it is I'm doing if it's possible and go eat. Maybe these people will just use this too much and get excessively obese and implode. :D

Oh man, everquest addicts, will you ever stop being the butt of horrible 'funny cause its true' jokes?

jeez, this is the laziest friggin thing i've seen. i honestly think some dork is going to try playing the delivery guy in EQII loot.

Delivery guy: "so that'll be $15.32"
EQII addict: "can i trade you 3000 gold and give you this priceless helm for a tip, just tell me your server and account name...."

Heh heh. Funny stuff.

Honestly though, leaving your keyboard can be a hassle while playing MMORPGs, particularly ones where you have to party up.

When you're stuck in some enemy-filled land, miles from safety, and your team is either trying to level up on strong enemies or go on a quest, they do not want to stop what they're doing for ten minutes while you go call the pizza place.

Or sometimes this will happen:
"XxxxXxxxSephirothXxxXXX, go cure Sephiroth299g."
*moments later*
"D00d, wake up. Now AzzzzNgrrrrl666 is hurt.
*moments later the entire party dies*
"WTF Fuk u u dik!"
Other guy: "I'm back... was on the phone. Did I miss anything?"

Sad but true. Leaving the computer is a bigger hassle than some might think. At least with the ordering online thing, they only have to get up once to get the pizza instead of twice to order it and get it.

Still, that's funny. :)

This problem will be ever-more solved when they install the pipe system that allows pizza and cola to be directly injected into your stomach.

I'm sorry, I played EQ for 3 years and this is the absolute most pathetic thing I've seen SOE do. True that leaving your keybaord in the middle of a battle can get plenty of people killed depending on what class you are, but EVERY MMORPG has more than enough downtime for you to be able to go order a pizza.

This is sad. The fattening of America contines, full steam ahead.
