If I buy a SNES controller from USA, can I use it on a PAL (european) SNES then? I have bought NES controllers from USA and they work prefectly on my european NES, but what about SNES?

Same question goes for PS2/GC/XBOX controllers too, acctualy for every console systems. Can I buy them from USA and use them on my european system?
And what about vice versa, can you buy controllers from europe and use them on an american system?

It should work, though I'm not 100% sure. If I remember correctly, the way controllers work don't depend on a certain region.

Yes, that is what i also thought.
But I recently bought some SNES controllers from USA and they are fucked up when i try them on my PAL SNES. I got a guy to test them on a american SNES and they work there. But these where 3rd party controllers.

I e-mailed the seller and asked why they didnt work and he/she said it wasnt normal that controllers bought from USA would work on an european SNES.

The funny thing is that i have bought SNES controllers from this seller before, also 3rd party controllers, and they worked perfectly on my european SNES.

So it would be great if someone who have both a PAL and NTSC SNES and could confirm this.

NEW QUESTION

Can I use an official Sony Dual Shock 2 from EU in my US PS2? I do it with JN periferals all the time but I don't know if PAL systems have different voltages.
