What is the technical name of this AV Cable? I have known many other systems and VCR's from the 80's to use this exact same one...but I need to know what is it normally called?

Why is it so hard to find one at a decent price?

I'm not aware of a specific name for the cable, but the plug is a 5-pin DIN. Since the Genny 1 and SMS doesn't output stereo from the rear port it's a mono video/audio line.

True, Neo Geo AES, Genesis, SMS, and probably more systems all had the same mono style

The correct plug is covered under DIN 41524 standard. The plugs in this standard have their pins arranged in a horseshoe pattern opposed to the "normal" circle pattern used in DIN 45326 standard.

The plugs are available in 5-pin or 8-pin depending what kind of signal you want out of your Genny, SMS etc.
