I have been cleaning and organizing my room for the past 2 days and it's almost pic ready. This was such a daunting task, not only is it my room of doom but its also my bedroom, I must have found about 200 loose cd's, I had to put them all in their correct cases, controllers and wires all over the place that I just ended up throwing it all into a huge bin. I'm just wondering, how often do you need to clean your rooms? My wires seem to tangle themselves, its like they have a mind of their own.
So how often do you need to clean it up, and did you clean your room before sending in the pics?
Oh god I still need to dust... @_@

I'm a neat freak....nothing is ever out of place or not where I want it. Stuff gets put back away as soon as I'm done with it.

For controllers, I use those plastic drawer things from various stores. I wrap the cord with a rubber band and put them away. If i'm putting the system away for awhile, I try and keep everything (hookups and controllers) with it.
Large plastic bins work well for the systems, you can get them for cheap at home depot.

Yeah I seriously have no more room for anymore appliances. In fact, I have too much stuff right now, I'm at the limit sadly :(

For me it was bookshelves bought at Home Depot and 3-bin storage containers when they were on sale at K-Mart.

I use bookshelves for my games, and plastic storage bins for my extra controllers, ac adapters, etc. And I clean my room of doom every weekend. I hate it when it gets disorganized.

Taking pictures is the only thing that can get me to even think about cleaning. So to answer the question, once in a blue moon will I clean. The rest of the time, there is no floor.

no offense intended, but how on earth could something like that happen to a collector? i'm already going mad if i see someone dropping ANY cd/dvd somewhere in my room, i would never allow any cds to just lie around on the floor

only about 30 of them were for actual games, the rest of them were for pc, %50 of them being AOL cd's LOL I threw them all out, and my cds did not get scratched. I'm a lazy person thats all.

My "collection area," if you can call it that, is part of a cabinet near the TV and the bottom shelf of our printer stand. The cabinet houses my Xbox, GameCube and PS1 games, and the printer stand perfectly fits my entire Dreamcast collection... minus controllers and stuff.
Because my space is so limited, I find myself cleaning it at least once a week. I do this to move the games around to fit them better, get games out to play (some are buried now) and so on. I can't wait until I get my own room to put all of it and can actually organize it so it makes sense. I was toying with the idea of taking a picture of all my Dreamcast games just to show how little of a space you can jam everything into :)
