Anybody know anything about backlit neo geo pockets?

Hey, ive heard talk about backlit neo geo pockets.... id like to find a guide on where i can mod it to get it lit up...

ive also been hearing somebody on here used to do them... If anybody still does them, then im interested...

were there problems with the system overheating or something?

If you go to www.mashmods.com, they will install a light in your NGPC for $50. Sounds a little pricey but when you consider the cost of parts, and the amount of time it takes to install one of those buggers, it really isn't a bad deal. You just have to send them your system.

I am probably interested in getting one of these, but the pictures didn't make it look all too appealing. Does anyone have firsthand experience with this mod?

I used to do the Neo Geo Pocket Color Front-Light Mod.

You just used the Afterburner kit for the GBA.

It looks just as good as a GBA SP, if you think that an SP looks good. :)

It sure made it a lot more fun to play the NGPC though. But you did lose a small 1/16" at the bottom of the screen because the light guide was a little to small.

Oh and I don't reccomend Mashmods. their customer service SUCKS and they have gotten a bad reputation in the GP32 Scene.

Sorry but it's next to impossible to find the Afterburner kits anymore.

They stopped selling them and only a few pop up on Ebay and they usually sell for $40-50.
