If that's the most exciting thing in your life, I'm guessing that's about all the "in/out" action you see on a regular basis.

While it may look nice, it's just something else to go wrong with a system.
I'm fine with just placing the disc in.

I prefer flip top models, all the way.
Cheaper on the wallet, no worries about trays getting stuck, and damn if my PStwo don't look sexy next to my Duo.

Ba-zing!!!
No, in all seriousness, I really don't care about this forum's sex life, and I'm kind of half-and-half on how the PS2's hardware operates. Yeah, it's neat, but I get more disk read errors on that machine than any other system in existence.

Good point but I disagree. Ill make room for another flip-top anyday. Back in the olden days, closing that Playstation top over a new game was the next best feeling to slamming a new cart into my Genesis even backer in the day.
Flip top all the way.

I'd prefer a flip-top myself- one less part to break on the PS2.

It was easy. I countered your opinion with my opinion.
"i have no more room for flip top cover consoles"
"Ill make room for another flip-top anyday"
Notice how I disagreed with you? You having no room for another flip top is an opinion. I guarantee if I showed up at your house, I could find somewhere to put another flip top...one place pops right into mind. Being that a conversation is an exchange of ideas...disagreements make for the best conversations.
Do you disagree? DUN DUN DUN

I prefer the tray on the Xbox. Much BETTER programming. Stops the game when the tray opens rather than the problems opening a PS2 tray can cause if you're currently playing. It's so convenient to just hit Eject i you want to switch games on an Xbox than having to stop the game. (By holding down Power for 3 seconds THEN opening the console.) And if you power off with the Xbox tray out, it pulls it in. It's awesome. I love it. PS2 trays suck.

Front loading consoles (yes, I'm including the NES in this one :P) are always more problematic in the long run, but I just find them to be more convenient. They allow another console to be placed on top - which is important when space is at a premium.
Plus my PS2 hasn't fouled up on me once. :D

If you power off the PS2, it's tray closes automatically too. Plus I don't understand your problem with changing games on PS2. I never turn it off. I just return to the title screen or main menu of the game, open the tray, change the game and push the reset button. Simply done.
I dont like the sliding tray. For some odd reason mine sounds like its about to fall off. The gears have reached the end of there lifes.
