I found my old memory card plus, but the cart itself is busted up.

nope, not at all... be careful not to touch it when its in the system while its on though

Depends on what you use it for. LOL

Seriously though, it shouldn't make a difference. Just be carefull with it when handling it, and be extra careful when it's plugged in that you don't accidentelly touch it with something conductive.

This wouldn't cause any problem to the board itself? Wouldn't it heat up?

Another question... would the board fit in a genesis cart? I could just take apart a crappy old game :)

oh i dont know....just an idea....at least you probably wouldnt get electrocuted

no I wouldent imagine it would hurt, its only missing plastic casing. Like the others said, never touch it when its on ;)

Memory Card Plus is SUPER sensitive. If you even LIGHTLY bump it when it's in, you'll be liable to lose all your saves if it's board only...assuming it still works. They also have a very high failure rate, and if you insert it and reinsert it, it's liable to die, and leaving it in is liable to damage the cart slot because the board's contacts are slightly too thick. You're better off NOT using it at all and shelling out for an official one.

I was afraid you would say that. I've heard that before.

Are there any other unofficial carts that don't mess with the slot? I'm pretty low on cash right now.
