I am considerng buying a Pelican System Selector PRO. My question is this:

I have a bunch of different things I want to hook up to it; VCR, DVD player, Xbox, SNES, etc. Some use component, some S-video, and some composite connections. Can I hook up these different types of connections to the same system selector and then output to the different inputs on my tv? Will this work?

Thanks for any input. (no pun intended)

it depends on how you have the system selector hooked up to the TV. most hook up with normal AV wires. I have seen one that is about $100.00 that does AV / S-video and component cables.

If you only have the selector hooked up with av wires and hook a system up to it with s video it won't do anything.

yea, if you have all the inputs you can hook up everything using different connectors

I have mine hooked up with Component and S-Video cables with regular and optical sound

its a great system selector ($100 isnt bad, but ive seen them at EB for $80.....and i got mine for free)

I bought mine at gamestop.com for $80 shipped. It works great, with the 7 connectors on the back, and a 3 port hub for new-gen consoles to play online. It's fine when switching between multiple source types, and my only complaint is the price, which isn't so bad for what you are getting.

The cables that came with that selector are worth $25 alone. That system selector is an incredible deal and works very well.
