NES toploader for sale...has a smoky smell

OK, I bought this on eBay, but it has the smell of cig smoke. Heh.

First off, is there a way to get rid of the smoky smell?

Second, does anyone want to buy it? If you're a smoker, then it wouldn't bother you.

$50 + shipping anyone? I have a dogbone controller and the hookups for it. But all that it smoky, too.

And BTW, the seller doesn't take refunds...I'm still gonna contact him, but I just wanted to check here first.

I'm interested, any pics? I really don't know how to rid of the smoky smell, short of taking it apart and giving it a good scrub.

How strong is the smell?

I bought a Mario doll from Ebay a few months back, and it STUNK of cigerette smoke so bad it was unreal. I wouldn't even put it near my other items, because I thought the smell would rub off on them. LOL

Anyways... I would put it in front of a fan, and have the fan blow air at it all day. After a while of doing this and airing it out, it doesn't smell at all hardly. It is still noticable, but only if you squeeze it, and it's still not that bad at all.

I would say that you would have to take this apart and maybe get some canned air to blow the inside clean, then clean all the outside plastic with some orange cleaner. I'm not sure if this would work perfectly, but it would definatley help a little.

I've heard some potshops sell them. I know nothing about such things.

I've soaked console cases in hot water and Mr. Clean for hours and not been able to fully get rid of that smokey smell...

Its usually off to eBay when I get one like that now.

I bought a ps2 game from someone on ebay and it smelled like a tobacco chimney. I mean it was like the guy was smoking through the case. So I positively know what you are talking. It was coming through the package.I wipe off the case with some febreeze and just let it air out in open fresh air. The smell will leave eventually. If it works I wouldn't sell it. Plus you can buy one of those special screwdriver 14.99 kit they sell on ebay it is great kit to have great for cleaning carts and changing batteries in older games.and it will allow you to easily open up the system and give it a good cleaning. Thats what I would do if I bought it from you. I have the screwdriver set used it a million times.
