What the heck was that?!

I'm running around town doing my thing, when suddenly I see a big huge red balloon floating by. It had a present tied to it, but no matter what I did I couldn't knock it down. I tried to follow it to see if it would land somewhere, but at one point it floated over a cliff, and by the time I ran down to where it should've been it was gone. This happened about approximately ten minutes before 4pm this afternoon.

Any idea what that was, when it appears, and what the heck the gift was?

I'm no expert with this game, but I've seen that before - I *think* it's taking something to the post office. Did you get a letter with a gift inside right after? If not, maybe tomorrow?

The gift will sometimes get stuck in a tree. then when you shake the tree the present will fall to the ground and you can grab it. Seems to be random as to what gift you actually get. I've heard you can also try and grab it with the net, but I've never actually been able to do that so cant confirm that for sure for you. But I have had them get caught in trees after chasing them for a bit.

Its a Japanes incindiary bomb. During WWII the Japanese released thousands of balloon bombs into the wind thinking that The Forests of North America would go up in huge infernos. They didnt work too well but a group of boyscouts found one on the ground in Montana "I think" and blew themselves up.
