Ever punish yourself for losing or playing poorly?

I used to punch or slap myself in the face for dying. Today I just did that again, it's been years, though. Anybody else inflict pain on themselves because of a game?

I used to punch the bookshelf I sit next to while playing really hard every time I screwed up or did something stupid in a game. That stopped though after a welt the size of a golf ball appeared on my knuckle. The $200 doctor bill sucked too.

Man, I wish I took some pictures of it. That wound was gnarly.

i've never hurt or punished myself(on purpose) but sometimes i slam my wireless into the bed or the pillows, or fall backwards onto the bed, or punch my beanbag.

I usually get mad at the designers because I manage to convince myself that whatever is giving me trouble is a stupid thing that should never have been put in the game in the first place. Mainly I just sigh in exasperation and shake my head at their "poor judgement."

Wow, just wow. Maybe I punched a pillow or swore a couple times loudly, but punching yourself in the face? Thats getting a little extreme.

I went to some random arcade once with a friend here in Los Angeles. My friend played some gangtser at Street Fighter 3rd Strike and my friend gave him a BOMB ASS WHOOPING! Then the gangstar comes and pushes my friend............what he didnt see was me coming at him with all my power and BOOOM right in his jaw. We ran to the car so fast you wouldnt believe that a fat guy would run so fast LOL!

I am a slight masochist. Not in the sexual sense, but to some degree I do enjoy my own pain. I'd say maybe a 2 on a scale of 1-10. People who slice themselves or sit on beds of nails, now THAT'S taking it too far.

Worst I've done is hit my hand with my fist, kind of like how youd do if you had a baseball glove. Doesn't hurt any.

well i normally don't hurt myself in anyway but last week me and my freinds were playing a game and i got really pissed at one of my freinds so i started headbutting him in the arm... it most probaly hurt me more than him though.

once i was in the car with a bunch of my friends and one of them was playing Wario world 4 on GBA sp. he lost and got mad and closed the sp up and slammed it on the car seat. unfortunately my hand was there. ow. :eek 2:

What i used to do as a kid is that i'd toss the joystick as far a possible ofcourse i needed to replace a few broken ones,but hey it worked for me!

I've called myself an idiot for BUYING some games but as for playing my loss is projected on the game or console.. It could never be my fault enough for anything more then throwing a controller.

One time I took my NES of the shelf and stomped on it. It still worked, strangely enough, and I use it to this day. But usually I just hit myself in the balls with a steel pipe.

I once banged my head repeatedly on the floor (a la the Ninja from Metal Gear Solid) after being driven to sanity's edge over Breakdown. That's usually about as extreme as it gets, though most of my failures just result in an exhaustion of hot air through my oral cavity in the form of profane vocabulary. LOL

Though, one time, I flipped over the coffee table and kicked out a board on its bottom. Very rarely do other things suffer from my rage.

man..my arms are lined with cigarette burns...

some of those levels on 'ape escape 2' just tested my will to pick up the game again...but a good burn later i was raring to go!

and it went a little something like this:

I think i might have once. Perhaps when playing crazy taxi.. I might have hit the couch's arm. I don't remember doing this however..

I actually bit my GBA SP when I was stuck in Mario vs. DK. Learned my lesson. Never did that again. There's a slightly noticable dent in it from one of my teeth.

Yep. I used to all the time. broken many a controller and system that way. I don;t do this anymore though.

Story time:

For those of you that are fans of Tecmo Super Bowl for NES, you know how cheap the comp. can get. Once you go long enough undefeated or they are held scoreless,crazy things are bound to happen. The crazy fumbles, cheap tackles, amazing intereceptions, picking of the same plays, amazing runs, etc. Well, I fell victim to one of the biggest comp. comebacks in TSB history.

The comp. basically came back from almost 60 points down to win a game. Just crazy stuff. Everytime I got the ball, I would give it right back. The comp. would score on every play it would seem. I was so pissed I kicked the living hell out of my NES. It disconnected itself from it's cords and flew across the room. It hit the wall with a crack and the ground with a thud. I took the game out of the NES and chucked it.

Erased my season, broke the door off my toaster style NES. I never felt better.

I don't do that kind of stuff anymore.
