I started a thread a while ago about how I'm such a sucker for special editions and the like, and how I'd just spend a bunch of money on games strictly for their pretty packaging or preorder bonuses.
I did it again today. I decied I was NOT going to preorder Xenosaga II, and only a day or 2 before it came out I heard about the 4 hour DVD of Xenosaga I's cutscenes and I almost choked. Then I heard about the special edition Brady Strategy Guide. CRAP.
Went to gamestop yesterday vowing only to buy the dvd and the special edition guide. The game will be around for quite some time and in rather abundant supply. They didn't have the guide or the dvd, damn. The bug bit me earlier tonight so I went to another gamestop, they had ONE copy of the DVD left and said they could only give it to someone who buys the game.
Me = Sucker.
So not only did I just buy the game I have no intention of playing anytime soon, I put $5 on the strategy guide (at least I'll get 20% off when it comes in later this week). So I've still gotta go back and pay another $17 ontop of the $57 I spent today, all so I can get the lt. ed. guide and DVD.
What the hell is wrong with me? Not to mention, I just put my two weeks in, I'm going skiing in 6 days, and I'm going to E3 in May. These special editions are the absolute bane of my existence. I need help :(
