OK everyone, I know we sent some PM's and posted about the Sega ELite forums, well, there were sum issues and problems with it so we've abandoned it, so me, Mega, Cauterize and grayfox are working together to bring Sega Dreams alive....the website still is being worked on - but our forums are up check it out here

Just a recommendation, stemming from some personal experience:

Less is more. That, meaning that I'd consolidate the forums a little bit. The less forums you have, the busier it will seem, and the more actual good discussion you'll get going. DP is a good case in point. No dividing the main game forum by eras, systems or companies, and it works wonderfully. Now my Xbox Live clan doesn't get this theory and we have 3 off-topic forums that never get individual attention. Kind of stupid on their part I think. Anyway, good luck!

How about: Don't invite loads of people to join your forum and then, one day later, tell them all to come join a different one instead?

Cani ask a favour of anyone scanning, stick to genesis for now (or megadrive) and save the scans at these resolutions:

Genesis/Megadrive Full Covers: 789 x 507 Pixels
Megadrive Manuals: 485 x 281 Pixels
Carts: 323 x 206 Pixels

Genesis Scans would be appreciated as i only have a few considerin im a PAL'er

Not to be fussy but could they be saved liek this too:

As for the sizes, they are GUIDELINES, not each one has to be dead on, but around that size is good as i am aware the odd cover is a different size likewise with manuals!

Also, I might add (I suppose I could discuss this on the Sega Dreams board, but you were talking about it here) that we don't really need to scan Mark III/Master System stuff. SMS Power! has a pretty good collection of that stuff already.

Ok quick bump for this, we edited a few things, re-arranged the forums a tad, and just like to say, we are more then happy to welcome any more Sega fans/collectors/gamers to our site

I visited the site a few days ago and it´s great!, but i´ll have to be critic: There are too many forums in the forum...that´s very frustrant...start with less forums and then, when there are a lot of registered people, start to add a lot more...
