Portable DVD players with built in game systems

Have you guys seen those portable DVD players that people can get for the car or for trips or camping or whatever. Some of them actually have a controller that kinda looks like a N64 controller, and there are built in games to the DVD player.


Anybody know the skinny on these? What kinds of games are on them? How do they look on the screen?

Yeah, just recently saw these myself and wanted to pick one up for my truck especially since it comes with games. I can't seem to find a game list of what's included though. If someone could let us know I might go pick it up. :)

Glad you started a topic about this, because I've been curious as well.

I've seen these at Target and they are Polaroid branded, though I'd bet someone else is actualy making them. They only ever have dummy units at Target and I've never so much as seen a screen shot or description of the games. My hunch is it's something like the non-licensed, non-pirate plug and play units I've seen around with NES quality graphics and a bunch of clone games.

Still, maybe someone has more info?

There's another thread around here where this came up. If you go look at them at Target.com, there's some feedback saying that the games are horrible..."for the mentality of a two-year-old" or something to that affect.

Don't know if I'd trust this lady's review, but there's similar ones for all the Polaroid portable DVD players. The one that mentioned the games doesn't seem to be up any more.

Yea, i've played some of these games on my friends portable DVD player. They're nothing great, just NES clones.
