I've got a Tomy tabletop Scramble game from my younger days, but at some point the screen became pretty horribly scratched. (Kind of like a used Madden '96 for Playstation you'd get from Gamestop.) Is there any cure for this sort of thing?

Technicaly it should be possible to change the screen, but you need to find one or make one yourself. There are some spray that can remove thin sratches too i think, but how well it works i dont know.

I've used plastic polish on some of my handhelds to great success.
There's a bunch of different brands, but I'm not sure which one I use.
(can't find the bottle right now!)
It's a cream, not a spray-on.
Ask for plastic polish at your local hardware/automotive store.

You have to rub pretty hard, though.
The more effort you put in, the better it will look.
And for the love of Pete, don't rub over any decals!

NovusII is what you're thinking of. It is truly the nectar of the (restoration) gods.

Yep, it's highly regarded by pinball restorers.
