1. What compelling, exclusive master system games are there? What is the cream of the crop master system games that must be experienced?

2. Should somebody buy the old type master system or the new type master system? Do they both use the Genesis 1 Audio/Video out plug? The reason I ask that is because if it uses the old Genesis 1 Audio/Video plug, then I can play it on a R>G>B monitor without needing to get a special cable.

3. How much should somebody pay for a Master System and a controller or two?

4. What AC Adapters do the Master Systems use? Can you use a Genesis power adapter on them?

5. Anything else I should know before jumping into ownership of a Master System?

I will try to help but I am sure someone better will follow me up.
Best Games
Wonderboy 2 and 3
Phantasy Star
Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Shinobi World
Ys
Penguin Land
Space Harrier
Black Belt
Shinobi
Fantasy Zone
Power Strike
Time Soldiers
Any of the 3D games are sweet

I am pretty sure you can use the Genesis 1 AV connector on Master System. The power supplies are different though.

I wouldnt pay more then $50 for a complete system.

Can I make a suggestion? If your worried about the types of leads to get, are unsure what you'll need, I think it would be better you got a Mastersystem converter. I assume you have a Megadrive/ Genesis? Well the Mastersystem converter just slots in the Megadrive/Genesis cartridge slot and you’re ready to go. You use the existing Megadrive Joypads and no power cables are required.

If you have a Megadrive 1 then you can buy either the Mastersystem converter one or 2, however the Mastersystem converter mark 1 wont work on the Megadrive 2, as it has been moulded for the mark 1 Megadrive.
The mark 1 Mastersystem converter will work with the Multi-Mega also called the CDX, but it does apply pressure to the CD lid of the system.

Hey

I would kind of recommend the powerbase converter as well. It plays all games except F-15. It also allows me to play some PAL games like The New Zealand Story which won't play on my SMS.

One game I have been playing more of recently is Psycho Fox. It's a pretty cool platformorer.

This is probably the fifteenth topic this week on this subject, so I'm gonna point you to one freebie here:

...and the rest you can find on your own with the search function. :)
