If I had the ability to travel back in time, man, I know for sure that in 1987 I would have done some things differently. In October of 1987 I was a 17 year old Junior in High School. At the time I really wasn't very into video games. I was much more interested in trying to go the the "cool" parties and hook up with incredibly fine young women.
Anyways, I did have a Nintendo NES system. I was much more of a casual gamer that liked to play sports games against my buddies. Double Dribble was a game that got played to death. Track & Field II got played alot. I actually was in a group of guys that would get together and have freaking competitions in Track & Field II for the NES. How funny is that.
But anyways, to get back to the topic. There is no question that if I could travel back in time to when I was 17 years old, in October of 1987, I would have done alot of things differently, and in addition to that I would have done whatever the hell I would have had to do to get my hands on a PC Engine right when it launched in Japan in October of 1987. To think I could have actually been playing PC Engine games back in freaking 1987!
That would have been so amazing!
Also, because I would know what I know now, I would also be playing that PC Engine on a R>G>B monitor. I mean, how state of the art would that have been? To be playing PC Engine games on a freaking R>G>B monitor way back in 1987!
I would have also got a Mega Drive the second those came out in Japan a year later.
