More deets on their first game next week, sez RedOctane's PR firm. Just a collector-centric heads-up, as I expect their print runs will be modest.

That'd be nice if they made games for the music controllers they manufacture. Konami isn't planning a new home release of Guitar Freaks or Drummania anytime soon.

Red Octane is known for their music game controllers. And now they're going to be publishing games? This is a very, very good sign.

I never tried In The Groove or became impressed by what I've read about the game, but I might as well give it a shot just so I can have another use for my pad.

Pretty cool. They make the BEST DDR pads you can get outside of the actual arcade machines. They even carry the cheaper ones at BB now!

I've played it in the arcade a couple of times, and I like what I've seen so far. The music tends to be more like that in Pump it Up, i.e. more techno and (good) hip hop than things like Eurobeat and J-Pop.

This is a definite heads up for all you PS2 collectors. Roxxor games is a bunch of ex-DDR players. They have converted DDR machines into In the Groove machines, and this is likely to be the only release by them. Hell, they might even be sued by Konami.

Yeah, Konami has just been WAY too quiet about this. It's kind of worrying. Well, they haven't sued over MC Groovz yet, I guess. Heh.
