Quick question for anyone who's made/assembled Colecovision homebrew carts: Can the circuit boards from old CV carts be salvaged?

It's a somewhat simple matter for Atari carts (as long as you have a later-release cart).
- Open cart and remove board.
- Remove ROM
- Replace with EPROM
- Wire in hex inverter
- Cut one lead on the board
- Reassemble cart.

Sure, you can always use new boards, but I was curious if the CV boards are reusable in the same manner as 2600 boards. Just askin'.

Looks like you can use original boards, but it would seem that Joe would know for sure:

That's what I needed to see. Thanks for the assistance!

Obviously, always use thet socket instead of a hard solder. Costs a few cents more and takes no more time... and makes it a one time operation.
