I love baseball games but I know no Pittsburgh Pirate will ever get on the cover of a baseball game. I wonder if I could create my own...possibly finding a nice photo of Oliver Perez or Craig Wilson and sticking it over Manny Ramirez' mug on my copy of MVP Baseball 2005? Anyone else ever do this?

I have done a ton of these. I used to do it all the time with my PSX games (jewel case inserts are very easy to print even on a home bubble jet printer). I've also done custom DVD covers as well. I'll post a couple of pictures when I get home.

Thanks, I look forward to seeing those. Would you believe within my first ten or so games that 2 of my players got injured? One will be back in another game or two...the other is out for like 40 days.

...I tore the Mega Man X lable off of the Mega Man X cart. And then replaced it with a lable from one of those print out Lable sheets. Plain White, with "Mega Man X" written in Orange Crayola Marker. :/

Got loose copies of both Sonic Adventure 2 (DC) and War of the Monsters (PS2)...thanks for nothing, Gamestop. Anyway, these both became a couple of my son's favorite titles so I asked him to make inserts with his own artwork for the cases. He made some pretty cool pictures for them both. Never mind not being minty condition - with my son's custom artwork now those games are worth more to me than R10...

I still have to dig out my old PSX jewel cases. Here are a couple of DVD cases from my shelf.

My face on Kurt Russel's body on the cover of Big Trouble in Little China.

My face on The Scorpion King (back of case).

On some of the ones I've done I've had to purposefully do bad Photoshop jobs, just because on the "good" ones people never noticed my handy work!

You should know better than to make a post like this and not share the work in question.

I concur. Put the artwork up so we can all admire it :)

I tore the label off my NWC gold cart and drew a little stick dude playing hockey in it's place...

I've made my own covers for games...mostly Sega CD stuff (and some Saturn).

Most are just scans of the Japanese covers that have been "cleaned up" (ie: removed the Japanese to avoid confusion with my other Japanse games).

I did make the "Final Fight CD" back cover look better than the orginal (IMO)...but the only real cover i have made that wasn't some Japanese artwork hack job was a cover for my "Sega Arcade Classics" Sega CD game.
