WOOHOO! I just found out that I've had it for years, and I didn't even know that it was an R8, until just now! I have Aero Fighters for the SNES! And it's in PERFECT condition, with the manual in PERFECT condition too! I just don't have the box for it anymore! And I bought it brand new way back in the day!

:D

Congrats man! I remember my first R8.. the game was.. Blackjack for NES? omm.. no.. that was an R6-7 I think..

I remember my first really rare was so bad I've forgot what it was only that I put it in the system and I -think- I heard the damn thing laugh at me.

Nice find! :) Always cool to have rare stuff. The rarest i have (i think) is Mr. Gimmick for NES and Action 52, which are both R7.

Congrats to you. My first R8 (and still my only, curse my genesis collecting habit!) was the Mircale Piano Teaching System, and I still remember when I got it.

If you enter your collection into the database, then you can sort your collection by rarity and see what you've got. Alas, my rarest stuff is only R7.

OK, some of you guys don't understand the situation, I have had this game in my collection for about 10 years now! I'm just excited because I just now found out how rare it is, and because mine is in PERFECT condition! Now if only I hadn't thrown away the damn box for it, way back when I bought it and opened it! It was in PERFECT condition too! But no matter, I still have the cart and the manual! Maybe I'll dig them out and post some pics soon...

Who knew? All these years I've been playing this game, thinking about how cool it is, and never knowing what a grail it is! I even stopped playing it and considered selling it once, because it seemed redundant to own it after I got Sonic Wings Special. But I decided that I'd go ahead and keep it anyway, and now I'm so glad that I did! I'll probably never own another R8 again, unless DP finally decides that alot of those R7's really should be R8's! Did you know that most of the systems that I collect for don't even have any R8's? I don't mean that I don't have them, I mean there aren't any! Now how can that be? It sounds like some of those R7's should really be R8's to me! How can any system not have at least one R8, when it has games of every other rarity? And what determines why a game is listed as an R7 instead of an R8? There's alot of games from R1 - R7, but once you hit R8 - R10, there's only a few! I can understand that, but not any R8's at al,l for systems that have at least one R9 and at least one R10? How can that be? There has to be one!

Anyway, all this time, I thought that the rarest game I owned must've been my Spiderman Web of Fire for the 32X or my Jack Bros for the VB, or one of the many other R7's that I own, if not the Hyper Duel for the Saturn that I just bought. But lo and behold, while I was entering my collection into the database here, there it was... Aero Fighters... R8! I couldn't believe it! No wonder when I bought it at a certain Toys R Us here, way back in the day, that was the only store in town that had it! No other Toys R Us ever had it, that I know of, and no other game store in town ever had it either, that I know of. Now of course, chances are that all the other Toys R Us in town had it at some point too, quickly sold out of them, and never were able to get it again, and I just happened to find the only place in town that still had it. But still, to think that I actually bought it way back in the day! Too cool!

So surely this game must be worth alot more than just the measly $25 that it's listed for in the guide by now, and especially in the condition that I have it in. I mean R8, how easy is that to find in any condition, and much less in MINT condition? Mine still looks like it was just pulled out of the box! The manual is PERFECT, and the cart is PERFECT, I mean this badboy is MINT! I'm sure if I really looked at it closely, I could probably find a few very slight flaws. I mean after all, I've owned it for 10 years! I have played it quite a bit, but not alot. So it's definitely used, but certainly not abused! What do the other SNES R8's go for in that condition? This has to be a nice little chunk of cash that I have here! Not that I wanna sell it, but I am curious what it's worth!

I think I'm still in shock! I never thought that I'd ever have any R8's, unless they were imports, and here I am finding out that I've had one for 10 years now! If only I had bought Fun N Games for the SNES too! I have it for the Genesis and for the 3DO, but I never bought it for SNES because I already had Mario Paint for it, and I thought that the SNES version was the same as the Genesis version! It is the same, isn't it? I know that the 3DO version is different, because that's why I bought it, but otherwise both of the 16BIT versions are identical aren't they? Except that the SNES version is rare as hell and the Genesis version is common as shit? That's the only difference, right? I know the box art is different, but I mean they're the same game, right?

I just can't get over this, a freakin' R8, in my collection for 10 years now! And for the SNES at that! Grail of grails! In my house, in my room! I can play it anytime I want! BTW, I must say, it is a great game. But that rare, I can hardly believe it! Why couldn't I have bought all the other ulra rare games way back in the day? I did buy alot of 'em, maybe even most of 'em, but why did I pass up so many? I had the opportunity at one time or another to buy them all! That's what kills me. All the games that I can't even find now, at one time they were all over Houston, and I got sick and tired of seeing them! I should've bought them all! But oh well, at least I did buy this one! Wonder of wonders! While everyone else searches for it, I already have it!

Congrats on that R8! You seem pretty happy about it! I picked up my first R8 last week, Team Buddies for PS1.

My first R8 was Team Buddies too, also last week. Bought it for like $12 or whatever on Gamestop, sold it for $50 on ebay, going to use $$$ to help me complete my PS2 Street Fighter controller collection.

I did play it for a couple hours though, it's a FUN game. If I ever run across another copy I'll likely keep it.

Hmm ... I am presuming it is only R8 in NTSC format .. I have it in PAL, and have seen it around a few times.
