The Technical and Restoration Society forum is your best friend. Someone will come around and move this thread to that forum soon. I know for a fact that omnedon(sp) repairs systems as a business. He is a regular on that forum.

Before you go sending the system to someone, tell me, what exactly is the problem? Most old NES systems share the same common problem, the old blinking screen. usually, an old worn out 72 pin connector is to blame. These things can be replaced/repaired rather easily. If your up to it, its not a hard do it yourself project.

I can't move this to Tech, but a Video Gaming mod soon will.

In the meantime: http://www.oldschoolgamer.ca/information.aspx?SID=16

I do sell single connectors thru PM, but not on the site. When I do the system, it's gets a pin, plus lockout removal, and a full cleaning, refurb.

Lots of good How To's all over the net for the basic pin swap. just make sure you get a decent pin. Lot of crap ones out there.

I have parts too, for your tray problem. Just drop me a line if you want.

My advice would be to buy a new connector for about $5 - $10 (depending if you want a gold connector) and a used NES for about $15 - $20 and take the tray out and replace it with your NES. Or just change the connector on a used NES.

I still have the original NES we got in 1987 and I will never sell it, but i do have other NES consoles :)
