Grettings all,

My names Gary, I live in Southern California (not too sunny these days), and am 43. Been gaming since it all started way back when. Playing Pong in the bowling alley to all the current home consoles nowadays. I was also a member of the US National Video Game Team back in my and their hey day. Was a great time, met a lot of good people and many awesome players.

As for collecting, I really only "collect" for the NES, but I have a huge amount of the old systems, and am always buying when I see something good or unique.

I the real world, I am a graphic artist and shoot/edit video productions, mostly training type stuff. Gives me the money to buy all this stuff! I have 2 daughters who are avid gamers as well.

Looking forward to spending time here and getting to know people. Also with trading/buying/selling to boost my collections and yours.

I don't see an official page, but there's mentions of the team around the web and all.

Welcome to DP!

Honestly, I don't see much need for that...

Always a sceptic isn't there? :-) Not a problem, here is a pic of my jacket, and if you really need to be convinced you can contact Walter Day from the Twin Galaxies International Scoreboard. He'll vouch for me since he ran and still runs it all.

At the time I was on the team, I was the oldest member and already had a real job. Most of the guys were still in school, and were able to go on and do a lot of the things I couldn't, so they are more well know. Duane Richards, Jeff Peters, Steve Harris, Perry Rogers and others. We ran several of the Guiness Book contests after the first one, and Steve Harris even went on to publish Electronic Gaming Magazine.

So anyway, was a good time traveling to the shows representing some of the game companies. Atari and Bally/Sente would fly us up to San Jose to play what they were working on and give our opinions. Made some good friends and still keep in touch with some of them.

As for pics of my collection, don't have any pics, but I suppose I could take some. Everything right now is just in tubs or boxes though. As for numbers, I am up around 550 NES games, and somewhere over 200 of those are complete. If you're interested in seeing a list, you can go to http:''users.adelphia.net/~hattg/ and click on Links. You can also see a bunch of posters I got from shows there as well. Enjoy.

hey dude, you rock, as all of us gamers do. Even the trolls sometime give good games over live.

So welcome to your new shiny place among collectors!

Welcome to DP Harry

I liked the posters in your website. BTW is Steve Harris a good person? All i´ve read about him is how he mistreated people and his bad attitude...

I liked Steve well enough when we were on the team together. Since he was from Iowa and me in So Cal, didn't see him other than at the shows and contests mostly. I heard some of those things myself, but that was around the time the magazine got started up I believe.

I'd suggest just cuttin' and pasting your bio into a post there. Then, you're all set! I'll lock up this thread now that the well-wishers have had their say. And welcome again!
