I am working on a game collecting project (it's a secret for now) but it covers the Japanese game market, I need the Complete game lists for the following systems, The database has some of the releases but not all and focuses more on us than foreign. I need lists, manufacturers and part no's is they are available, I don't need any thing more for now but any info would be appreciated.

Here's the list.

Arcadia 2001 (Bandai Arcadia)
Vectrex
Visicom (RCA Studio II)
SG-1000 The database lists all as japanese but I need to know specific releases
TI-99
Odyssey 2
Commodore 64
Atari 2800
Plus any more american systems that saw a Japanese version of the console released.

I really need the help, once the project comes along some ways I'll share it with everyone.

Thanks in advance,
Doug.

The following SG1000 games were also released outside of Japan, if that's what you're wanting?

European releases [EU] were distibuted by Yeno alongside their version of the SC3000, mainly in France. The packaging is similar to the Japanese version but without the Japanese subtitle. Some have a sticker on the back which has Yeno's French addres rather than Sega's Japanese one.
The boxes are in English, and the manuals I've seen have either been in 4 languages (Eng/Ger/Fr/Sp) or just a single sheet of paper in French. The carts appear identical to Japanese ones.

Australian releases [AU] were distributed by John Sands alsonside their version of the SC3000. The boxes & carts are clearly marked 'John Sands'.

New Zealand releases [NZ} were distributed by Grandstand alonside their versions of the SG1000 & SC3000. The boxes & carts are clearly marked 'Grandstand'.

Borderline [EU] [AU]
Champion Baseball [NZ]
Champion Golf [AU]
Champion Tennis [EU] [AU] [NZ]
Congo Bongo [EU] [AU] [NZ]
Exerion [EU] [AU]
Lode Runner [EU]
N-Sub [EU] [AU] [NZ]
Monaco GP [EU] [AU] [NZ]
Orguss [EU]
Pacar [AU] [NZ]
Pop Flamer [EU] [NZ]
Safari Hunting [EU] [AU] [NZ}
Safari Race [EU] [AU] [NZ]
Sega Flipper [EU] [NZ]
Sindbad Mystery [EU] [AU] [NZ]
Star Jacker [EU] [AU] [NZ]
Yamato [EU] [AU]
Zippy Race [NZ]

That's not a definitive list, just those I've seen proof of (for example, I'd expect there to be a European Pacar aswell, but I've not seen one yet).
I wouldn't be too surprised if almost all of these were distributed in all 3 territories.

Were all of those even released in Japan? I also doubt there's any kind of complete C64 list out there for any region.

I need a list of Japanese SG-1000 games only not any other region, as for C64 I only need carts and no software.

Thanks.

Well that's in the database. What do you want that's not there already?

When I submitted the SG list, it got placed solely in the japanese section. Did Japan get every single game released on the SG, I figured that Australia and New Zealand and others received some exclusives out side of japan? If Japan got every release then I have my list and stand corrected. If anyone can clarify then my thanks go to you.

AFAIK, there's no Euro, Australian or NZ exclusives, at least not exclusive games on cartridge.
There's a few Aus/NZ SC3000 tapes and possibly non-game carts, but all the games were released in Japan.

Thanks Anagrama, that answers that. Anyone else have lists for anymore of the above listed systems?

Thanks.

I wish. Just some very nice tools and too much free time. Though I am trying (keyword!) to learn...

I'd assume those last four are Japan exclusives since they're all based on (at the time) popular anime. But for all I know, they could be retooled/retitled versions of other games.

And what kind of tools do you have, if I am allowed to ask?

Aside from the MAX computer itself, there was a proper Japanese release for the real C64. You can tell because there's Japanese characters on the front of the keys instead of the wierd ASCII graphics!

I can't tell you if or what software was released in Japan for the proper C64. However from my website, is a complete list of known cartridges:

http://www.mayhem64.co.uk/commodoremax.htm

The Vic20 was also released in Japan, but I don't know what software was released for it there. Apart from Galaxian (released in the West as Star Battle and written by current Nintendo President Satoru Iwata) and Pacman (released in the West as Jelly Monsters).

Vectrex should be easy to track down, I've got a poster with all the released games on it at home. A copy had their names changed, but most were exactly the same (just with Japanese packaging).

I'm curious as to why HAL is listed as the author on many of those if they were Commodore releases in the West and Japan.

Yes, they are japanese exclusive. Good dumps for them except Gundam (bad dump only) are in the net. (In case you want to have a look at them...)

By the way the Bandai games are all in the Online Rarity Guide (and in DP #7)and there are also descriptions for most of them.
