Interesting.

I throw Smurf Doom in my dreamcast and blast everything in site.

State of Emergency is good for a quick "blow the shit out of everything that moves" romp. Other than that I enjoy Counterstrike with a sniper rifle.

Usually playing a GTA game relives though frustrations or playing Goldeneye or Perfect Dark.

Gungrave or Streets of Rage.

Sword of Berserk: Guts's Rage usually works for me. That and GTA: Vice City.

If I can make a counterintuitive suggestion...the Moon level in Katamari Damacy. When you're pissed off at the world, there's something immensly satisfying about rolling the world up into a ball and having it thrown up into the sky! Picturing your irritants walking the streets or living in the skyscrapers helps as well...especially when they scream. ROFL

Kick the cat.

Seriously though, I just walk away for a few minutes, and I'm good as new. I don't really get pissed at games though, but If I get killed at the same place over and over, then I take a break just because I like to think about what to try next, and because it gets monotonous. A few minute break always does the trick.

Beating up the rednecks in manhunt with inf health always works for me,

Esp when they're running away from you and you land a punch in the back of their head, they fall and you can slowly kick them to death.

Feels good......

game has an intense combat feel, such atmosphere too

Any of the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors games are good for blowing off steam.

And, I second Gungrave :2gunfire:

Manhunt on the PS2. Considering one of my family members broke my 2 year old PS2 today though I guess I'll need an alternative. I'll probably stab people in the back in Thief III as well unload an arrow in their poor sleeping FACE and listen to their horrible screams. God dammit.....I don't want a damn skinny PS2.

I plug in my PS1 and play FF7. I go to a locale at the beginning of the game, run into a level 1 baddie and cast KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE on them. The pleasure of seeing them get smoked beyond astronomical readings brings me pleasure. Plus they picked on me when I was a newbie on FF7.

when I was little, I use to cry when I got frustrated, but that's over now

This is different than what you are asking, but breaking a controller really releives it when frustrated WHILE playing vg's.

Back in high school, when I was pissed off at a particular person, I'd play Carmageddon 2 and imagine... yeah.

Nowadays, I'll just play any old video game to relieve stress in a more general way, or just find a happy place.

Smurf Doom?

Yeah, its doom 1 with replacement sprites from the smurfs. And smurf sound bites. And gargamel yelling about eating them.

Ported to the DC. Selfboot and all.

Mindless fun but it is doom 1 after all :)

I always get online and blow stuff up. This is usually in a team-based game with resources of some type so that I know I put the other team back by being "IN THEIR BASE, KILLING THEIR D00DZ!!!" as Sothy would say. My two favorites:

Command & Conquer: Renegade (although there is always at least one cheater on there)

Half Life: Natural Selection.

The latter one in Combat mode is AWESOME for just blowing stuff up.

Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament (one) allways work for me :).
Also flashback, another world and arcade advantures like that are great and can calm me down.
