Greetings Programs.

Got a great deal on a new DS and was looking at the games the other day while in TRU.

I am clueless about what is good for the system and there doesn't seem to be much in the review department yet.

So what will my wife think if I'm trying to score a date in Feel The Magic? :)

Should I go for the Mr. Driller or Poyu Pop?

And the golf game has to be better than the PGA Tour 96 I play now right?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as this is the first time since the Genesis came out that I have owned a system this soon after release.

Thanks
VJ

Lets see
Super Mario 64 DS is good, as is Feel the Magic XX/XY. I have also heard good things about MR. Driller. And I'll definatly second Warioware touched.

The best games out now:
Super Mario 64 DS (if you like the original)
Feel the Magic
Zookeeper
Wario Ware Touched
Mr. Driller

The decent games out now:
Ridge Racer DS (only if you don't have the N64 one)
Asphalt Urban GT
Spider-Man

The rest I wouldn't even bother with.

The sad answer is...NONE

Wario ware is ok, but too short to spend that much money.

Mario 64 is the only *decent* game so far

p.s. I just wanted to make clear that i DO have a DS since last december. I´ve played mario 64, wario, urban asphalt and feel the magic..

I´ve been thinking about selling the DS..the lack of games is REALLY frustrating....

- Mario 64 DS
- Feel the Magic XY/XX
- Wario Ware: Touched

Just wait, in the next few months you should see a nice line up coming like rayman, NFS:Undergronud and yoshi: touch and go.

I just got Wario Ware: Touched and it is a pretty good game, but it only takes a few days to fully complete it.

I'm gonna second what everyone else has said.

I own these:
Feel the Magic Xy/Xx-Kinda like Wario Ware. Much fun. Also another title that takes advantage of the touch screen,
Mr. Driller!-Great puzzle game.
Super Mario 64 DS-More than just an Update. Some cool stuff has been added.
Wario Ware: Touched Great game. A bit short. Still, it is a decent showcase of what the touch screen can be used for. The Mic as well.

The only other one that is out now I would like to own would be Zookeeper.

Spoon is waiting for Castlevania.

Games I own:

Asphalt- good racer, especialy if you like arcade the arcade type

Mario- what can I say, best DS game

Mr driller- great little puzzler

spider man 2- very hard and annoying, eventhough it can be enjoying swining through the city

wario ware- fun game, but its over waaay too fast

So far the games out for the DS seem to entertain you for a few days then there is almost no replay value, for me anyway. I'm waiiting for some of the fall line-up, Castlevania, New SMB and Animal Crossing. I love the DS but right now there is no must have. I'd suggest getting WW though, the NES level is pretty cool. Oh I forgot about Retro Atari Classics, that comes out March 15 that actually may have potential too.

If you have the money, import Band Brothers. If you want a game that isn't actually GOOD, but somehow sucks you in and makes you keep playing, get Urbz. Definitely got my money's worth out of that, even though I can't stand the game. Feel the Magic is a great "show off" game. In fact, it was the best "here's how cool the DS is" game until Wario Ware came out. But, oddly enough, I think Feel the Magic is the better overall game out of the two.

Let's see. I haven't played it myself, but from what I've gathered, Tiger Woods is a decent golf game. If you're into that sort of thing. It's also supposed to be really super buggy, but manageable.

I can't recommend Spider-Man 2 at all, it's quite awful.

And Zookeeper is fun, but it's $40. I'm not spending $40 to play Bejeweled on the go.
