They're all pretty decent games there, Death & Return of Superman probably being the weakest among them (and one of the rarest!).
I'm sure you don't need me to recommend Alien Solder, Wily Wars, PSIV or SF2, but looking at the rest, Aero is another in the series of SunSoft's lush-looking-but-not-revolutionary-platformers (Aero 1, Daze, Zero), Art of Fighting is a decent Neo port but I was never that fond of the original anyway, The Punisher & Seperation Anxiety are both fun scrolling beat 'em ups, with The Punisher having the edge. The Animated Spider-man is nothing too special for a late era platformer, but it's streets ahead of earlier Spiderman game.
Are they the only ones you're missing then? Or just the more interesteing ones?

Shining Force II is quite easy to get (though never cheap) and it's one of the best RPGs I've ever played.

of all the late release games i collect these are the rarest im after. There are others i want such as Soleil and Streets of Rage 3 which shouldn't prove too hard to come by. I have Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel - SOOOOOO MUCH FUN! Daze Before Christmas was a B*S*A*D to get but was fun esp since i got it at xmas. and Ecco Jr took AGES to find a copy with instructions but again at least i have it now. (Both the last two games are Australian versions so come with those crappy blue fold out instructions).

I wish i could afford a SoR3..... everytime it comes up on ebay au some rich euro with a good exchange rate whisks it away LOL
Last I heard the au versions of the ecco jr and Daze are the only versions. Apparently theres a german version but I havent seen it or heard anything more since anagrama mentioned it a while back. Im surprised you havent got Fatal Fury 2 on your list either, since it too is one of the rarer PAL MD games.

The Punisher is a fantastic side scrolling brawler - even the the point of being almost as good as Streets of Rage II.
I was never a Mega Man fan, but I did kinda enjoy Wily Wars.
PS4 is an outrageously good RPG - miles ahead of any other MD rpgs in my opinion.
I haven't played Aero 2, but I found the first one pretty bland and dull to be honest. Didn't inspire me to try finding the sequel at all.
Alien Soldier I is technically amazing and quite fun, but didn't hold my attention for very long.
Shining Force II, great game of course - just not quite up to the standard of PS4 in my opinion.

you can't be talking about the genesis version(?).
The arcade original is awesome...one of the best brawlers avaiable but the genesis version is just horrible
awefully downgraded graphics, completly removed violence(in a punisher game...on a sega console WTF?) even more downgraded sound(urgh) and a horrible collision-detection.
damn you for comparing it with a software-jewel like "Streets of Rage 2"
:hmm:

Bah, I enjoyed it anyway.
To compare it to the arcade seems somewhat unfair. Of course it's not going to be as good as the arcarde - it's on a Megadrive!!
Having never encountered the arcade version, I would venture to suggest that I might have a slightly less biased view, since I don't have any unrealistic pre-conceptions of what it should have been like?
Just a thought!
As for the violence ... who cares? Surely it's the gameplay that really matters?

I've still only ever seen Australian version of all those.
Funcom's website (http://www.funcom.com/funcom/products/older) says Daze was released in Germany, but they also claimed that Nightmare Circus had a US release, so I'd take that with a pinch of salt.
The German release sounded plausible since all the other SunSoft games had a European release and are generally easier to find in Germany, but I'm doubtful now.

well, the SNES version of Daze was only released in Germany afaik, so that would make sense somehow, i'll try to dig up some informations for you James, you can't read the german info so i might be luckier with that than you...

Don't get too worked up over finding Art of Fighting. The Genesis/Mega Drive version is pretty bad. Controls are sluggish and special moves are a pain to pull off. The same thing can be said about the SNES version... but, it has two things over the Genesis/Mega Drive version:
1) Better color pallette equals more vibrant environment and a better graphical look
2) The Zoom in, zoom out effect is still in tact.
