This was probably my best week ever for buying video games. Not that I got INCREDIBLE deals but just the calibur of games I got. The best deal by far was 37.50 shipped for Metal Slug Saturn, a pretty sweet deal. Then there was 150 for Radiant Silvergun off somebody on ebay but I met them in person without bidding. Followed by Dracula X PCE 103 shipped and then finally Snatcher Sega CD for 75.50 shipped. I am not buying any more games for a loooong time, this is my birthday gift to myself :-P

So:

Radiant Silvergun $150 (Met in person)

Metal Slug 37.50 Shipped

Dracula X 103 Shipped

Snatcher Sega CD 75.50 Shipped

Oh and I got an import saturn copy of Super Puzzle Fighter II for sega saturn for 10$ for the guy with RSG, it almost gets lost in the mix! So overall thats 376 dollars. What do you guys think, I think I payed a fair price for these games, not a steal but not a ripoff, often they could sell for much more!

not bad, those seem like standard ebay prices to me, personally i get more enjoyment in finding my games in the wild for pennys then giving in and paying those ebay prices. though, im pretty sure ill never find a snatcher or radiant silvergun in the wild, its always nice to pray for them.

nice games you got there but honestly i don't see what's so special about what you paid, seems pretty average to me

I am not bragging about the prices, just that I have had a really big week as far as WHAT I got.

I agree with the consensus. I would never pay over retail for any game unless it was made of gold and served me pancakes. :)

if I really wanted I'm willing to pay what the market dictates... saying that I also enjoy the bargain hunt - on my business trip to Japan I spent virtually all the time apart from business meeting hunting those obscure titles... :D

Bring me some more soda R.O.B.!

I agree, and I've almost never stray from that rule.

Hey damn, you're rolling in videogames! LOL And I did pay more than that for my RS, so congrats.

Although I generally follow the cheapass gamer ethic held by most of the other posters around here, sometimes you just gotta live a little (or a lot in your case this week).

Let us know when you can one-credit Radiant Silvergun!

Nice games! You'll probably end up playing that $10 SPFIIX more than all the others combined...that's just the way the world works :)

I think the Dracula X and RS are a bit better than average prices, but not a steal. Still, why wait 2 years for a good deal when it is your birthday now? Happy birthday. :bday: Go play some games!

BTW, how good is Metal Slug for Saturn...I have Metal Slug X for psx and it is meh (OK animation, bad sound) how does the Saturn Metal Slug stack up?

almost - and I mean almost - NeoGeo arcade perfect...
obviously haven't compared side by side I don't know how much by "almost" but I expect few animation frames chop'd her eand there but most of content intact...

i better play my copy agains to refresh my memory... (been playing MS3 on Xbox lately)

Like he said, it is a VERY close port, it would probably take some sort of scientific method to figure out what is missing.

i know, it's just that well, you can get almost every game right away if you're willing to spend that much money on them, but maybe that's just me ;)

don't let me spoil your great week, enjoy the games!

I dunno what you guys are talking about. Metal Slug at $37 is a great deal. The rest are average. But not MS. I seen it go for 50-70.

So $37 should be considered very good, if not great.

heh, great shopping spree.

Mind you, i bought a snatcher, mint, and then sold it for about 100 times what i paid (yeah, you can guess :D)

I think I paid less than a dollar for my copy of Snatcher (mint complete). However, I'd NEVER sell it :)

I think this would have been better suited in the ebay section but whatever....good game choices....prices are allright.

Oh, by the way. There is a "Weekly Finds" thread where you should put stuff like this, rather than starting a new thread. Notwithstanding the excellence of the games you acquired.

Otherwise things get too crowded and I have trouble finding the mecha-porn threads.

Yes please.

It's here:

Please use these threads, they're very interesting, far moreso than these single "finds" threads, which seem redundant.
