Is the xbox version of PSO playable offline if you don't even have xbox live? I know it has the split screen mode, but like the dreamcast version had the single player offline adventure. Thanks.

Edit: I tried searching for the question, but IE's being mean to me tonight. So I'm sorry if it's already been asked.

Well it can't only be for online play if it has the offline split screen mode. I just need to know if you can you even start it up if you don't have xbox live? We used to have it but the subscription ran out.

I have the game. There is a single player, but it is a game that is really meant to be played online.

You need Xbox Live in order to run it offline mode....but since the subscription ran out, Im sure it'll still go as long as the Xbox Live data is on your Xbox's HD

I thought you needed the "Hunter's License" in order to play it offline too? Thats the impression I got from IGN's review when it was released. Which is why the GameCube version was billed as better, because you didn't have to pay 8.95 to keep it offline. GCN version also has split screen. and You get all the *insert PSO PC release in Asia name here* content that you have to download on XBL (or the actual PSO PC game)

You can definitely not play PSO offline if you didn't get yourself an account with it. I bought it expecting to have a blast with the offline mode, and couldn't get started :( I sold it to EB a couple weeks ago as one of the many games that I ditched in the Trade Two, Get $10.00 deal going on until today.

Blue Burst? Blue Burst is the PC title I mentioned... thats exactly what PSO Episode I and II Plus is on the GameCube. It isn't Episode IV.

Actually, lemme show ya..

Episode IV for Blue Burst is now up. You may log into the servers again. There are a few problems that ST is addressing at this time.

1. There seems to be a bug with the injector weapon that causes the game to crash.

2. If you install the new patch up to version 1.19.0 in window mode, you most likely will crash. You can either switch it over to full screen mode this one time, or if you do run it in window mode, after Blue Burst crashes, you can continue using window mode and it'll get past the bad part.

Everyone, Finally, ' Phantasy Star Online blue burst episode 4 ' did service in formally!

The new stage ' episode 4 which becomes Windows edition original ', we are glad that the new work can be announced safety first.

Now the work becomes appearance of the new map & the new story & the new enemy & the new item. Especially, as for the new item where the eye and the efficiency which were seen exceed variation rich 150, it probably is to expand the pleasure of venture of everyone.

In addition, it introduced so far fragmentarily, it fell to planetary Ragol, "the meteorite", as a result enormous it is born in the ground "the crater", daringly as for "WORKS" these whether how it keeps interwinding..., as for that in venture you enjoy.

Furthermore, besides the fact that in reference, this time, correction was added to attack method and motion of the new enemy, you devised the appearance variation, and the like you played through the whole and you could finish giving an advise and encouraging of the customer whom it receives via the closed beta trial which the experience it receives part in certain ones which you withstand.

The one which it receives the one which participated in closed β trial and this time concerning "episode 4" for the first time, you think that which can take the first step of the venture whose planet "Ragol" is new with fresh feeling.

"Episode 4" being similar, everyone staff all, we enjoy that it can meet Toshi.

Hey

You definitly need xbox live to play PSO in offline mode. It checks for a current subscription before starting the game.

You need to pay EXTRA to xbox live if you want to play PSO online :) but I think you get a month to try it out for free.

From my experience with PSO on the DC I would only recommend online play if you have specific friends you want to play online with.

It is a cool game though.

It's a shame that the xbox version is ignored, as PSO with voicechat is actually very awesome.

I agree, it sounds like you are on the phone with the person when you chat with them.

The only down side to it, is the trolls....they keep talking and talking, they won't shut up, and when you tell them to settle down, they start cussing like crazy

Is there a North America release date set for Blue Burst?

Also, has there been another PSO game announced other than Blue Burst yet?
