This game is awesome but........ I finished it with the much needed codes because of its insane level of dificulty on normal level and got a lame ass ending! Did anyone else finish this and get an ending like the game was supposed to go on longer? What a rip off! good thing I only rented it!

The ending where your blown to kingdom come? I think you have to try dying/continuing less to continue to the next level and assuming you survive that, get the real ending.

If it's anything like the SNES contra, you get the best ending when you finish the highest difficulty level.

Yea.If you best it on easy,the ending you get is like nothing.But if you beat it on hard,now you'll get something good.What?I don't know.......yet..... :D @_@ :/
You can unlock the later levels by getting a high average hit percentage throughout the game. For example, an average rating of C would be awful, A would be great, and S would be perfect.

i finished it on normal,got all C's for all the levels except for the last one on which i got the highest hit rate for some reason got a B,and I unlocked some story scripts and some photos ,but not all of them.Oh well,now i'm addicted to nightfire.
