In years past I've managed to be the lucky buyer of a $10 sealed Double Dragon 2, a complete and perfect Phantasy Star 4 for $5, and a pretty decent SMS lot w/ 20 games for $60, but never anything this good. Never dreamed I'd do this well!

It was a featured listing no less! I saw it when only 5 other people had looked at the auction. Seeing the list of games, no matter how vague the auction was, I knew I needed to take the risk. Sent a money order for $347 (47 shipping! oww!) the day I won the auction.

Today the games arrived, here's some pics. Pic #2 is just classic.

Now granted, this was a risky purchase. I used the BIN before asking any questions, but I was definitely impressed with everything. The majority of the boxes look like the games just got unsealed. ALL GAMES COME WITH ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS INCLUDING MANUALS, POSTERS AND MAPS! With the exception of only a couple games, everything has dust covers AND THE ORIGINAL PLASTIC BAGS THE GAMES CAME IN.

Obviously I know I did well, but I can't even think of cash total everything is worth. On ebay, COMPLETE complete copies of Earthbound, FFII, FFIII, and Secret of Mana can all go for $100 with ease, and thats just 4 of the games.

I'm not really that attached to these games. I'm not strapped for cash or anything right now though. Should I hold onto these for a few years and then sell? Should I sell now before every single one has been ported to Gameboy 20 times? Thoughts?

very nice score....if you dont really need to recoup the money, id say just hang on to them...you never know when you'll regret selling them...no matter how much money you can get for them

Hmm a nice steal there .. although I wouldn't say it was a huge risk - a seller with decent feedback and 100% record is not especially likely to be pulling a scam.

And even if the boxes were mashed or just not there, I am pretty sure I could sell that lot cart only for $300 if they were sold separately. I mean, 42 games? That's $7 a game ... and plenty of those are worth a lot more than 7 bucks loose.

I am suprised that lot was still there after over an hour, to be honest!! But good on you for snapping it up!! :D

hehe a lucky and a nice find :)
I wouldnt say you took a risk tho. Seeing the guy have 162 in feedback and all are positive, 100%.
So I doubt he was trying to con you.

Man, that's a sweet deal. I always say that the auctions without pictures are the ones to go for especially if you ask the right questions and check the seller's feedback. Dang...since your not too attached, maybe you can sell some of the games here for some deals to the DP members???? 8-)

How do ppl bid so fast? Is there a feature on Ebay that will e-mail you everytime a new auction with i.g megaman is being started? Or is it just pure luck that someone is browsing just when its being put out?
