I like donkey. Donkey don't lie.
On topic: DreamSNES is pretty good, but it's been outdated for a while now. Your best bet is probably to use Super Famicast (you can find it at DCEmulation (www.dcemulation.com)). I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Like they said, slow frame rate. That kills it for me. Still cool to check out though.

IŽd suggest you use an Xbox for all your emulation needs :)

I second suppafly. I use to use dream snes on the DC but it's just too slow.
If you want a really, really good emulation experience i strongly reccomend you buy and mod an xbox. They've got emulators for just about every system (including the Playstation) and they all run really well (except the n64 emulator). Xport has made some phenominal emulators for the xbox and they almost all flawlessly emulate their respective systems, although a few do have problems.
If you decide to do console emulation i suggest you find the Big Ass Emulator discs that are going around on newsgroups. Disc 1 is 8 and 16-bit systems. Disc 2 is Handhelds and discs 3a and 3b are arcade machines. All 4 discs are full dvds with an insane amount of roms and the xbox emulators for all the included systems.
But don't try to use the DC for anything from the 16-bit era. none of it runs very well. Although NesterDC is a great emulator.

Some games run alright on it such as RPGs (and Super Punch Out Strangely enough) many more if you're not picky about turning the sound off; fighting games seem to suffer the most. I was surprised how well it ran actually after all the complaints I heard before hand. If you don't have a modded Xbox it is much cheaper to use as well because you don't need to pay to mod your Dreamcast.
I haven't tried Super Famicast yet, but I've heard it's a little bit slower, but runs a few games that Dreamsnes doesn't.
There is a great Genesis Emulator that is currently being worked on, which should be full speed when it's released.
Dreamsnes just released a new version, is this one any faster or should I just try out Famicast?
I really liked Dreamsnes because you just burn a disk and pop it into the dreamcast. Is there an emulator for snes that I can do that with the xbox? Without actually opening up the xbox?

Are there *any* SNES emulators for the Dreamcast that work at or work close to full speed? All the ones I tried are waaaaaaayyy too slow.

That was my experience with it too. Granted, that was years ago, so I don't know about the newest versions.

I coulda swore that I've played a Genesis emulator on the DC, and that the games played quite good.
SNES however, is out of the question.

Yeah i actually played around with my DC Genesis Emulator after posting that and i found that it does work considerably better then Dream Snes, although some things still run pretty slow. I find that the DC is really the best for NES and SMS emulation, not SNES or Genesis.

Wuh? If by just released you mean two and a half years ago, then yes they just released a new version...
Anyway, DreamSNES is still faster than Famicast, though Famicast has an adjustable frameskip, better compatibility, etc. Both are worth trying if you can stand slow or filled with frame skip SNES emulation.
