was it mamedvds.com ?

If you buy from here let me know how it went, I was thinking of getting an update myself.

I got mine from this guy: www.arcade-archive.com He is super fast, reliable, and very nice. He contacted me literally minutes after I paid and shipped the same day.

Get your discs from the original guys - http://www.lazarus.org.uk

You can either send discs to the burner with postage, or give them funds to procure discs for you. Either way, they do it *non-profit.*

Just used one of the links from lazarus. My mame set is woefully out of date and I'm planning on starting a MAME project very soon.

Hopefully everything goes well! Thanks for the link Peale.

I went here: www.mamechick.com

... and I was very happy with the service. Nice labels on the CDs/DVDs, too.

I'd use lazarus, do not support those selling mame for profit.

I may be somewhat biased as I used to burn for them, never made a penny. Any donations (ie people who refused to believe the service was free and their packages arrived with money in them) that I did receive were shipped off to Guru for the purchase of undumped boards, but then again who knows what he really used it on.

There are guys/gals all over the world who volunteer their time to undercut people selling sets for profit. You could download and print out labels yourself from http://www.mameworld.net/cdcovers/ if you were so inclined. Some guys even package cover archives with the sets on the extras discs.

just my 2c on the matter

Used www.freemame.us off of Lazarus.

Had my DVDs in 4 days. Outstanding. Sure stomped updating my ROM sets off the a.b.e.m over the next month.

Hmm... 4 days from freemame.us? I'll have to send them an email just asking about it... I ordered it a couple weeks ago and I still haven't received them, but I didn't want to bother them since they are doing a great service for us all. I did order the 20 DVD set w/ the MAME, Daphne, and Pinball, so I figured that might be taking a while longer or something.
