Okay, i thought id do this section as there are hundreds of Java games for the Nokia phones, and they get shadowed by the Ngage releases such as Sonic N and PTG...

So lets begin the Cauterize'd recommendations to Java!

Moto Maniacs - (Morpheme)

For any of you who have played Motocross Maniacs for Gameboy will be right at home, or even Trials (The online bike game)

Moto Maniacs plays liek the two games i mentioned but combines the styles to create a unique racer. You have to carefully balance ur bike and pull off wheelies at the right time to stay on course while speeding your ass off to maintain first place. And jsut to make matters harder/skilled, tricks can also be pulled off to rack in the points! Also included is a track generator!

Quite Addictive for a Java game, and a great journey killer!

Overall: 8/10

Ancient Towers Of Sarun - (Elkware)

Once again this game can be compared, this time to Nebulus! That classic rotating tower platformer.

Instead of playing as that creepy alien type creature, you are in the role of a ninja! The graphics on this are superb and the rotation of the tower is so crisp, along with that there is some nice oriental music playing to keep the theme going!

Good Fun, bit repetitive

Overall: 7/10

New York Nights - (Gameloft)

Damn, Gameloft keep realising hot Java games one after another!

When i first saw this is said "Sims Bustin Out" ...i was right to think that in one way, but in another i wasnt.
In NY Nights you have to get your dream job, earn loads of money, make as many friends as possible and, find true love all within 40 game days!
Features a stat leveller, go the gym and raise your health/apperance and so on.
I recommend this for girls mainly but can be good fun...

Overall Male Review: 6/10
Overall Female Review: 9/10
;)

And finally we have a personal Java Favourite of mine...

Prince Of Persia - (Gameloft)

Yet another classic by Gameloft!

http://www.midlet-review.com/images/reviews/j2me/prince_of_persia/prince_of_perisa_S60_01.gif http://www.midlet-review.com/images/reviews/j2me/prince_of_persia/prince_of_perisa_S60_03.gif

This isnt a direct port of Prince Of Persia, although it follows the same principles we are all aware of...
As a child i always found the controls for prince of persia slightly complicated and timing had to be perfect. However, this version doesnt suffer from that problem, to me the controls are crisp and responsive.
Graphics look spot on and the sound is great too...

If you havent got this on your phone, i recommend you get it right now off the Gameloft site!

Overal 9/10

Well thats it for now i guess, hope this helps you Phone gamers!
